Parabola 1.6.1 follows suit

Parabola finally dares make a step beyond the line and bring an out of order update…. but only because the changes are so small that life could go on even without them at this moment.

Still, Parabola likes to keep in line with her sisters and stay updated.

Fluida 0.9.2 sheds some weight

Although lost in the theme review queue for quite a while now, Fluida wastes no time to expand and improve itself. The new update brings new options controlling main layout alignment, header widget alignment, comment form width and comments date appearance.

Other mentionable changes are the removal of all bundled font files in favour of Google Fonts and support for PHP older than 5.3. For the full list…

Nirvana 1.2.3 gets along with notifications

This round: better caching handling, better notices handling, some easier styling customization, some missing stickies, some homepage and functionality usage clarifications…

Parabola 1.6 isn’t left behind

Being older and wiser, we have tried to spare Parabola for as long as possible the pain of having part of her soul ripped out and removed like a piece of defective code. But unfortunately things need to evolve, bugs need to be fixed and improvements added, so the time has come for Parabola to lose her settings options as well.

Just like with her sisters we have prepared for this moment and set up an alternative solution…

Fluida 0.9.1 pays attention

Tempera 1.4(.0.1) feels empty on the inside

The battle was tough, words have been said, code was written, thrown around or deleted, and although Tempera fought well the stronger powers could not be thwarted – in the end, Tempera lost its settings options…

But don’t despair. We have prepared for this moment and set up an alternative solution. As we have previously announced, we decided to retain the settings page functionality and move it to the separate Cryout Serious Theme Settings plugin.

Fluida – our new WordPress theme is ready for download

It’s all been so quiet lately, hasn’t it? Too quiet. And calm. Well, all this calm is about to come to an end, and as calm always does, it’s about to make way to a fierce storm.

And this particular storm comes in the form of… wait for it… wait for it… a new WordPress theme! Dig into the announcement post to find out more…

Nirvana 1.2(.1/.2) loses part of its soul

The saddest moment in Nirvana’s life has come: the settings page – it’s gone! Due to higher forces that are beyond our control, the theme has just lost part of her soul.

However, do not panic. We have prepared for this moment and set up an alternative solution. As we have previously announced, we decided to retain the settings page functionality and move it to the separate Cryout Serious Theme Settings plugin.

WordPress and theme options part II – the fracture

As you might know by now, themes in the official repository are no longer allowed to implement a theme options page. All new themes were required since early this year to implement support for the Customizer and some weeks ago this rule became mandatory for themes already published in the repository as well.

We’ve given this a great deal of thought and we decided not to transfer theme options to the Customizer interface. We built our themes settings to fit and work in a certain way and we feel the Customizer structure just isn’t right for them.

To be able to continue providing theme updates…

Nirvana 1.1.3 is all patched up

We don’t often send our themes to the doctor, but when we do we make sure they return all patched up. This is true for Nirvana 1.1.3 which returns so full of fixes and patches that one must wonder how it managed to function at all in the first place.

Well, the secret is that there’s so much functionality in Nirvana (and our other themes) that there’s bound to be something functional even when there’s so much that is buggy…

The good news is that Nirvana is now less buggy and you can enjoy the fixes listed in the changelog…

Tempera 1.3.3 has a temp

Tempera is tempted to read The Tempest but she’s been feeling very temperamental lately and blames it on the high temperature. She’ll hire a temp to do the reading for her while also massaging her temples in her underground Temple.

More temp stuff plus a a fresh changelog after the jump.

Parabola 1.5.1 is invisible

Another week, another round of small fixes for Parabola. This time some notices, slashes, alignments and styles get tweaked to bring her closer to perfection.

For specific changes, browse the changelog…

Mantra 2.4.1(.1) has an inner conflict

So Mantra 2.4.1 saw the light of day a couple of days ago and brought with it a couple of fixes, support for WordPress 4.1+ ‘title-tag’ and the addition of our social media links to the theme’s admin page.

However this release includes a small glitch concerning child themes so you may want to postpone the update until 2.4.1.1 becomes live.

Zombie Apocalypse requiem V and update 2.0 with extra gore

The Zombie Apocalypse is here! For the fifth year in a row… well not the actual apocalypse but your eponymous beloved, friendly, next door all bloody neighbour Wordpress theme.

Lost for a couple of days into the undead abyss of not-updated themes, we’ve put all coffee aside for a week and worked on bringing it back from the other side. This is version 2.0 of your favorite B-movie styled theme and a few things have changed but they’re all for the best…

Nirvana 1.1.2 notices some notices

Nirvana isn’t one not to notice, especially important changes as Wordpress 4.3 (which decided some code is no longer future-proof and should be deprecated).

To keep up with developments, the update to make some notices go away and leave them to be noticed only by those who should make the noticing is here. Plus notice the changelog…

Tempera 1.3.2 gets comfy with WordPress 4.3

Tempera 1.3.2 took a quick crash course in PHP notices, learned how to do things safer and is here to share its updated code with the world.

The main change is the theme’s conformation with Wordpress’ 4.3 deprecating PHP 4 constructors in anticipation for PHP 7. For other things, see the changelog…

Parabola 1.5 is the smart one

Parabola learned from experience to circumvent her younger sisters’ critical mistakes and brings you only the desert in this round of themes updates.

Among the most important additions are support for WPML and Polylang multilingualism in custom content areas and her newly achieved skills in the commerce sector with the inclusion of the WooCommerce compatibility (child theme) code and styling. For everything else…

Nirvana 1.1(.1) learns how to shop

Nirvana has entered the world of e-commerce and it’s getting its first taste of a nice haggle. It now officially supports the WooCommerce plugin so you’re free to go and take it our for a barter.

This version also adds WPML / Polylang support for the presentation page’s custom content so now everything is 100% translation ready.
