    The header image is WordPress core functionality (the theme simply displays the image set in WordPress’ settings).

    If you can find a plugin which provides that functionality, it should work with Fluida too.

    The presentation page is set for 3 columns per row. Currently, they are being displayed as 1 column and type is very small. Also, the search feature is showing in the menu bar.

    As for the child theme, I believe there are very minimal style changes. This is a site we inherited so I am not sure what else is there. Looks like BG image and some hidden items. Here is the theme code:

    —–BEGIN—–

    #forbottom, #main{
    background-image:url(“../../uploads/2016/01/01/Beige-background.png”);
    }

    div.nivo-controlNav{visibility: hidden;}

    #topbar{visibility: hidden;}

    div#footer2 span{visibility: hidden;}
    —–END—–

    The theme is designed to display the sidebar after the content on mobile devices (since the sidebar content is generally less important than the actual content).

    You can hide the sidebar(s) on mobile devices with CSS if you wish so:

    @media (max-width: 800px) {
       body #primary, body #secondary {
          display: none;
       }
    }

    The theme uses a simple glyph out of the included icon font next to the author name. Converting that to display the author avatar instead would require some changes to the theme functionality (to replace the icon) and all the extra functionality (either integrated into the child theme or through a plugin) for displaying the author avatar.

    You’d need to edit code from the nirvana_meta_before() function (defined in includes/theme-loop.php)

    Hello,
    I updated Parabola to the newest version 2.3.1. a few days ago. And after the update, the columns on the presentation page are no longer displayed properly – they are aligned vertically to the left on the page, and the animation effect on hover is gone.
    I can’t seem to figure out what’s causing the problem.
    I had to revert to the older version, because the website looked bad with the columns layout being broken, so the issue can’t be seen live right now. But here are screenshots of the presentation page columns before and after the theme update:
    Before:
    https://prnt.sc/ndvi72

    After:
    https://prnt.sc/ndvkvr

    Any idea what is causing this issue?
    Thanks in advance!!

    The title/logo/tagline visibility is controlled by both WordPress’ base options and the theme’s extended options.

    Check that the tagline is enabled in both WordPress’ and theme’s options.

    Did you enable the social menu’s visibility in the desired locations?

    You can make that CSS more conditional:

    @media (max-width: 1024px) {
        body:not(.home) #branding { display: none; }
        body:not(.home) #search-2 { display: none; }
        body:not(.home) #secondary { display: none; }
    }

    The theme is designed to display the most recent posts (sorted descending by publish date).

    If you need some other order criteria (including random) you’d need to use the theme’s fluida_boxes_query_args filter to customize the query:

    add_filter( 'fluida_boxes_query_args', 'child_custom_boxes_order', 12, 2 );
    function child_custom_boxes_order( $args=array() ) {
        $custom_order = array(
            'orderby' => 'rand',
            //'order' => 'DESC',
        );
        return array_merge( $args, $custom_order );
    } // child_custom_boxes_order()

    As an additional bit of information, only standard posts follow the excerpt options in Nirvana. Post formats are always displayed in full (since they are intended to be used in specific instances).

    Says:

    Custom Footer Text

    TE PA NI MA

    Controls the content of the custom footer text (displayed at the bottom of the footer). This field accepts both basic HTML (for links, images and special characters) and shortcodes.

    But, shortcodes don’t work in this area 🙁

    What am I missing?

    The ‘font-display’ attribute is part of the CSS 4 working draft.
    Validators and optimizer should test for currently approved standards, not proposed/unstable ones.

    Featured images do not appear inside published content (posts or pages). Featured images are displayed in the header of the site (unless the option is disabled) for single post/page sections or together with the post/page title and intro where these are displayed in a list (blog, category, search results).

    None of our free themes and plugins collect any kind of personal (or even site-related) information.

    The SysInfo plugin does gather site-related information and displays it in its dashboard page (as this is what it is designed to do), but you decide how to use the information displayed there (the plugin does not record or transmit it anywhere).

    The ‘Skip to content’ link is intended for screen readers and other visual-impairment aid tools and not normally displayed (and I am not seeing it on your site now).

    If you do use visual-aid tools or extensions they may make that link visible.

    The posts navigation is core WordPress functionality and (as far as I know) not configurable.
    The links are chronological site-wide (they point to the previous and next published posts, regardless of category or tags).
    If you really need to, you can hide them with CSS:
    body #nav-below { display: none; }

    Are posts set to display full posts or excerpts?
    Are you defining manual excerpts for the posts?

    You did not provide a link. That would be useful in checking up on the reported problem.

    After uploading a logo you must also choose to display the Logo and Site Title from the Customizer >> Header >> Content >> Site Header content.

    How are product images not working?

    You mobile menu appears to work fine at this moment (at least on my devices). Are you still having issues? Did you test with a different browser or device?

    Icon block sections get their content from pages (individually selected) and pages do not have a ‘sticky’ attribute. How are you setting icon block pages sticky?
    As a side note, the ‘sticky’ attribute has no effect on posts displayed in featured boxes sections. These elements are always sorted by publish date.

    I cannot confirm this issue, the content length option works fine in my tests (considering the same code is responsible for all featured boxes sections and it cannot behave differently depending on section).
    Note however that the option applies to automatically generated excerpts only – manual excerpts defined for posts are always displayed as-is.

    I don’t see the ‘read more’ button on any of the currently displayed homepage posts which usually indicates that the posts have manual excerpts.

    Your site is accessible both via HTTPS and plain HTTP, however WordPress is configured to use the secure URL. When trying to use the ‘more posts’ functionality when the site is accessed via plain HTTP, the additional posts fail to load because the browser rejects mixing HTTP and HTTPS content. To resolve this you should make your site only accessible via HTTPS.

    When I access the site via HTTPS, I can see the issue you are reporting. I also notice that the images should be loaded from the ix.w.org URLs which means you are using Jetpack’s image optimization functionality.
    The images returned from those URLs are 1×1 pixels in size. I couldn’t tell you why this happens, but turning off the image optimization should alleviate the problem.

    Your site is configured to load its resources from http://www.your-words-worth.com but you are accessing it through http://www.yourwordsworth.marketing. Doing this will make the browser follow the CORS rules.

    You can use the information provided in that article to allow cross-origin resource loading (and make both URLs display correctly) or choose to redirect one of the domains to the other (and ensure WordPress uses that URL in its setup).

    As a side note, displaying the same identical content on multiple URLs can negatively affect your SEO rating.

    The asterisk is present in the labels, however the theme does not use the labels but field placeholders.

    You can revert to the classic labels using custom CSS:

    body .comment-form-author label, body .comment-form-email label,
    body .comment-form-email label, body .comment-form-url label,
    body .comment-form-comment label {
        display: inline-block;
    }
    #comments input::placeholder, #comments textarea::placeholder {
        color: transparent;

    @Essex Add this code to the Additional CSS area:

    #masthead { display: none; }

    @Tvtino
    If that message appears it’s probably because you have no content on your site. Try creating a post.

    The stopgap solution is to add the following CSS:

    section.lp-boxes-2 div.lp-box-text div.lp-box-text-inside { display: none; }

    Cryout Creations mastermind

    That is part of the theme’s design. You can turn it off with CSS:

    #access > div > ul > li > a:hover > span::before {
        display: none;
    }
