Cryout Creations mastermindI used featured images for posts on my blog as well, and I did not encounter this issue after updating.
Did you test to see if this happens when all plugins are disabled? Could be an incompatibility between a plugin and the theme.

Cryout Creations mastermind@gingerleigh I see you have fixed that probelm.
@kelly Try switching the theme. Do you still have that issue? Do you have comments enabled under WordPress dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion ?

Kay
Cryout Creations mastermindWell if you’re using the Custom Slides option for the slider just delete all the text and title fields. If you’re using another setting add this code to the custom CSS area:
.nivo-caption {display:none;}

Cryout Creations mastermindHi Richard!
The simplest and easiest way ( not the most correct) would be to actually hide the slider. Add this code to the custom CSS area:
.slider-wrapper {display:none}

Hello,
I just posted my first post. I want to have the comment/replay area visible and the share buttons. BUT even though I chose to make comments available (by clicking under the post on the edit page) and can see them on the preview page, they will not show up on the blog/main page. Please help.
Thanks!!!

I’m having the opposite problem at http://www.gleigh.com/amazing – I have the page set with no sidebars, but my content is squashing down to about a quarter of the content area. In Preview, however the content spreads 100% of the content area. Once published, nope.
Can you please help?
Thanks!

I think this stopped working when I updated to the new version.
None of the news posts I add now show an image when you look at news categories, the images appear ok on the actual posts.
Thanks.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindNo, the columns cannot be increased (easily).
You can chose to display any number of columns between (including) the built-in 0 and 4. That means: no columns, 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns or 4 columns.
You chose the number of displayed columns in “Number of columns:” in the Presentation Page section of the theme settings area.

None of them do!
They are all identical.
The featured Images is left blank for all of my posts.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindI’m glad we got that sorted out 🙂
You need to fill in your site title and tagline in WordPress – Settings > General. Then they will be displayed in the browser title (and to search engines), but since they’re hidden by the settings, they won’t show up over your header image.

Hi Zed,
Thanks for your reply.
No, those images are correct as I want them.
http://www.peteralvey.com/category/portrait-photography/
and
http://www.peteralvey.com/category/stock-photography/
Are also correct,
BUT
http://www.peteralvey.com/category/industrial-and-commercial/
and
http://www.peteralvey.com/category/facebook/
Do not display the images when viewed as news categories?
Why do some display the images but others don’t?
Thank you.
Peter.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindYou can display any number between 0 and 4 columns – see “Number of columns:” in the Presentation page settings for that.
Read more is defined right below that, in the “Read more text:” field.

Cryout Creations mastermindYou can only type filtered HTML into the presentation page fields. Shortcodes don’t work (yet).
There’s no other way of doing this (currently) than to modify the theme-frontpage.php file and hard-code HTML or shortcodes.

Hi
Great theme, lots of customisation. However, I have a small problem. I’m using a subdomain http://www.s316771102.websitehome.co.uk/ to develop a new site on 1&1 running PHP5.4. It’s a new WP install (30 Jan 2013), so latest WP and Mantra. My issue is that the presentation page slider steadfastly refuses to display the 5th (i.e. last listed) image. I have varied the listing order of my images (all in the slider folder) to ensure the problem is not image related (e.g. size) and whichever is listed last, that’s the one it won’t display. I have disabled all my plugins so I don’t think there is a conflict there. Same result in IE, Chrome, Firefox. Almost looks like it can only count to 4… Hope you can help
Thanks for your assistance
David

Note that I tried what Zed suggested and the links work fine to display the images in the browser including other browsers without logging in.

No, I only went through and changed things via the Mantra Settings and then even went back and reverted all those to see if it would display correctly and it still didn’t.

Cryout Creations mastermindI don’t see the behaviour in the image so you must have changed something and fixed it…

Thank you very much for the reply.
When I look in the Mantra settings it shows the correct path to the images/text for Column 3 and 4 yet when it is displayed and I look at the source code it shows the mantra images.
What do you mean by making sure the links are the correct front end ones?

I’m trying to do the same thing. Make the most recent blog post(s) display column 4 of the presentation page.

This is a wonderfull theme. Thank you very much for creating it!
I would love to display my 5 recent blog posts under the 4 columns in the presentation page you have provided.
I tried to put some shortcode in textfield 3 and 4 but these fields don’t support shortcode.
Could you please provide me with the correct html/css code to get these recent blog posts into the front page?
It would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance,
Maaike

Cryout Creations mastermindThere’s an option just for that in Mantra Settings.
And you removed exactly the code checking for that option 🙂

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindThe presentation page doesn’t yet support shortcodes (Mantra buttons are shortcodes). Hopefully one day it will 🙂
For now you’ll have to manually type in any HTML you want to display on the presentation page (while keeping in mind that NOT all HTML is accepted, see C20 in the FAQs.

I’m going to guess that the place to edit would be here, but I don’t know what to add:
blockquote {
border : 1px solid #EEE;
padding:15px ;
display:block;
background-color: #FAFAFA;
font-style: italic;
max-width:90% !important;
margin:0 auto;
clear:both;
float:none;
color:#999;
-webkit-border-radius:5px;
-moz-border-radius:5px;
border-radius:5px;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px #FFF inset;
-moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px #FFF inset;
box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px #FFF inset;
}

Thanks for your efforts, but I have only noticed this on the website are more problems. But I had this plugin already several weeks without any problems. It works out of the Google calendar no longer tabs are no longer displayed. Thus, it seems more of a problem not only of the slider in the theme. Unfortunately I have no idea what this can do and who can help me now.
