@cozy787 @Zed Any insights on this problem? From what I understand it seems to be caused by the choice of a specific static page. Then, whatever page you select as text areas in the landing page options, it will always display the page you chose as static page. (Titles change but not the content)

As a work around I have kept my home page title blank, but have included a label as home in my primary navigation pointing to this unlitled page, so that I have a home section on my Nav bar, this way the “Home” thing is not displayed in my page but available on my nav. But the real issue is still there taking up some space on my landing page, but at least its not visible for now.

Most likely it’s something corrupt on your friend’s iPhone. You can check how other iPhones display your site on several testing sites. Here are few of them that allow you to test how your website displays on different mobile devices. None of them shows hamburger and frowny face but they do show the missing icon problem.

The ‘cryout_post_excerpt_hook’ hook location is only called when posts are displayed as excerpts, not full posts, so make sure the theme’s option is set accordingly.

Fluida’s landing page activation logic is reversed compared to Septera. The landing page is displayed when enabled in the theme’s option when the homepage is set to display the posts list, not a static page.

That em tag must come from somewhere. It may be in a widget that’s part of the sidebar or may come from well before that (the content itself, as the widgets are rendered after the content in the source of the page).
If the italics are present on all site pages then the tag must be in something that’s displayed everywhere, not a single post/page.

Which posts are you referring to by “featured posts”?
The theme’s presentation page feature can display a list of posts (most recent posts) if this area is enabled in the theme’s presentation page-related settings.

That website is not an official WordPress.org or repository-related test service.
Also, it displays 3 things as “critical” and 3 as “warning”, not 37.
The 3 “critical” topics are older code that was the recommended usage at the time the theme was released and has since been deprecated and replaced with different methods of defining those values (which the theme also implements).
As such, they’re far from being anything “critical”.The 3 warning are totally bogus: the number of tags is only repository related and has nothing to do with the theme functionality; themes can also use as many text-domains as they want (if properly implemented), only repository themes are limited to 2 (which the theme respects); the screenshot “warning” is obviously wrong – WordPress and the repository accept both JPG and PNG screenshots.

What’s happening here is that all non-parent Pages are being output in sectioning elements (“blocks” in Septera) with the wrapper class

Hi, I am interested by the same fonctionality.
My featured images are not large enough to be displayed in the header on the article page (wide screen mode). Therefore my articles are not illustrated by these images. Is it possible to have these images displayed on top/at the beginning of the article ?

The theme enforces the header image width to be at least 75% of the total site width for the image to appear in the header (when the theme option for it is enabled). Displaying smaller image results in a questionable look.

You can disable the landing page posts list (or static page) from the theme’s Landing Page > General options section.
The Post Iinformation options control how posts are displayed throughout the site, not just the landing page.

Septera is designed to display the featured images above the posts (in posts lists).
It also has an option to use these featured images as header images (under the Post Information > Featured Image options panels) when the featured image is large enough. This would make it display the featured image in the header (above the post) on single posts.

After setting the logo image in the identity section (or before, doesn’t really matter) you need to also set the theme’s Header options to display the logo (by default only the site title is active).
The overlay can also be disabled from the theme’s options (under colors > header) by setting the opacity to 0%.

Repository themes are not allowed to include any kind of demo content. This is why we went through all the trouble of displaying random existing content (posts/pages) in the landing page sections after theme activation.
Sample demo content is a good idea, and we’ll try to get this set up in the future, but we’ll have to provide it through our site since we couldn’t include it with the theme.

I don’t know what you are referring to by “image in the main menu”.
If you are referring to the image displayed under the menu on the theme’s landing page feature (the homepage by default), this is configurable from the theme’s options under Landing Page > Slider.
Due to a WordPress limitation, the sample image is not visible in the customizer panel. To replace it, simply assign a different image. To remove the sample image, assign any other image in its place and then remove it.

What page are you looking for that link to be visible on?
The pagination (which replaces the older/newer posts navigation) appears to work fine in category pages (eg: http://thecaverns.net/store/category/new-product-lines/)
Mantra never displayed prev/next or numbered pagination in the posts list on the presentation page posts list.

Hi guys,
EDIT: During the previous theme’s review process we were asked to make the landing page only activate when a static page is set as the homepage. This is why Anima (and Septera) behave differently than Fluida.
In the next update we’ll make the landing page description much clearer (and bolder) and add a link from it to the ‘Front page displays’ option for ease of use.

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.In reply to: Black Overlay on Header Image on Landing Page
Hi Luke,
First of all you’re not using the landing page. Your home page is just showing the latest posts.
And that overlay can be hidden from the customizer settings >> Post information >> Header titles (in your case uncheck ‘Home page’). Although you need to update back to 0.9.2 to have that option.
Oh and normally on the home page in the overlay the site title and description would be displayed but you’ve left those empty. That’s why the overlay is empty as well.
