One side bar widget has gone italics and cannot be change. I have used Firefox inspector tools and I see there is an tag being generated, but I cannot remove it. I need this to be remedied, it is very frustrating.

I disabled em tag site wide, and as you might expect, the problem went away… and so does all the intentionally italicized text. The is an em tag being generated for one sidebar on one page, how can I get rid of that tag (it’s clearly being generated dynamically, I didn’t put it there).

Any help is appreciated.

That em tag must come from somewhere. It may be in a widget that’s part of the sidebar or may come from well before that (the content itself, as the widgets are rendered after the content in the source of the page).

If the italics are present on all site pages then the tag must be in something that’s displayed everywhere, not a single post/page.
