Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindThe header is normally full width. Ensure that the video you are using in the header is wide enough to fill up the header (when viewed on a larger/wider display) while also fitting in the configured height (if its height is shrunk to fit, its width will also be reduced proportionally).

Cryout Creations mastermind1. The blog section displays all posts (without any filtering options).
If you only want to list specific posts, sort them in categories and link to the categories instead (and you’ll have to stop using the blog section).2. Esotera is designed with a particular visual layout. If you need a different layout, one of our other themes may be a better match.

Power UserBy the way, ff turn off the Jetpack Site Accelerator the problem still persists. I’d rather not use the Jetpack’s site accelerator, but unfortunately if I don’t all my lightbox’s images are stretched. Lightbox displays their thumbnail instead of the main image for some reason and stretches is to fit the page. (Another issue entirely)

February 10th, 2020 at 17:13 #98748In reply to: One bug in the tablet view
+1 for this. It’s a total deal breaker for us.
The theme incorrectly looks at screen resolution to determine if the mobile menu should be used. That is not correct UX development. It should use the user agent string and display the mobile menu for all mobile devices. This is the correct way because it acknowledges a tablet/phone’s inability to hover regardless of screen resolution.
The site is unusable on non-iOS tablets because of this bug. Arguably, the iOS setting is a bit of a hack, too. When you enable it, the hamburger menu slides to the middle of the page. A place where nobody will think to look for it.
January 25th, 2020 at 15:04 #98103In reply to: One bug in the tablet view
Hi Zed,
thx for answering. No, the problem concerns an android tablet.
It is about the menu display in the horizontal position of the tablet. Neither the submenus nor the respective main pages can be opened via the name in the menu. The menu in the vertical position, which corresponds to the mobile view, works.
What’s wrong?

Power UserThanks for the reply.
I moved the author.php file to my child theme, and removed the below code.
Unfortunately, the author bio box is still displayed after each post. To be sure I flushed the cache and tried another browser, but still the same result. 🙁
What can be the issue? Thanks// If a user has filled out their description, show a bio on their entries.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindThe image displayed in the theme by default on the landing page (homepage), below the menu, is not the configured header image but a static slider placeholder, which is configurable from the theme’s options under Landing Page > Slider.
Due to a technical limitations, the sample image is not visible in the customizer panel. To replace it, simply assign a different image. To remove the sample image, assign any other image in its place and then remove it.

Cryout Creations mastermindThe _lptext() function is responsible for retrieving the source content which will be displayed in the text area, while the _lptext_output() function handles the actual (markup) output (using the previously retrieved content).
Depending on what part of the workflow you want to alter, you’ll need to customize one, the other, or both.

Hello,
the same problem here: all galleries are now displayed in one column instead of two columns.
in addition, all gallery images now have a frame and the imagesize is not correct.
I think, the bug comes with version 5.3.Here is an example of the bug: https://www.schulze-modellbau.de/2019/11/06/gottwald-ak210-von-franz-bracht/
In this example the three first images are inserted directly (“insert media”) and the other images (“Detailfotos”) should be a galery with two columns and without frames…It would be very nice to provide an update.
Best regards

Cryout Creations mastermindThe theme supports menus in its several menu locations (main, top and footer). Beside these it is additionally possible to display menus in the widget areas (using WordPress’ own menu widget).
However, the widgets areas are visible site wide so to further control or limit widgets visibility you will need to resort to additional plugins that provide such functionality. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Power UserHello Zed,
I do want to display the social icons in the top-bar.
Unfortunately the icons change color and are hard to recognize.
Can I change the color of the icons, so that this also works in the Top-Bar?
Currently the colors only work in the footer ;-(Kind regards,

Cryout Creations mastermindThe text areas are designed to display the full page content (and featured image, if set). To change this to the excerpt instead, you’d need to customize some theme code (namely the roseta_lptext() function which retrieves the page attributes that will be used)

Cryout Creations mastermindIf you’d use a item that is not automatically detected based on the URL, the item label would be displayed as-is. In that case the CSS wouldn’t be necessary and simply entering Support Us! as the menu label would suffice.
You could avoid the Github link autodetection by using an URL shortener or using a custom on-site link that redirects to the target URL.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Cryout Creations mastermindThat space depends on what’s actually displayed on your site’s section.
On the homepage you’re missing the page title (which would normally have gone right after the menu) and are seeing some additional space created by the normal paddings and margins of the following elements (which are normally landing page sections – I’m not sure how you got them displayed inside a page, did you copy/paste the HTML manually?).
To remove those you’ll need to resort to some custom CSS:.home .entry-content, #front-text3, #front-text3 h3 { margin-top: 0; padding-top: 0; }The other site sections are displayed normally, with the title being the first element and right at the top of the page.

Cryout Creations mastermindSince you are not using a header image you’ll need to disable the theme’s header titles (which are probably still enabled), since they require the presence of a header image (to be displayed on).

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindOur themes each have visual specifics to give them their particular designs. Anima, Esotera, Fluida and Septera can display fixed background images (textures) on the text areas (that’s not really a parallax effect).
Kahuna and Roseta display the images in the text areas in a different manner.
