I just found this in the Tempera FAQ … Maybe it will resolve your issue.
▶ C1. I cannot change the layout in the Theme Settings?
You’re probably using Internet Explorer. Try another browser and you’ll be fine.January 7th, 2014 at 13:53 #15570In reply to: How to Change Main Layout
Wayfarer
Main layout options:
The Tempera settings have a “global” setting that will apply to pages (left sidebar, right sidebar, two right sidebars etc) unless the page has specific layout settings (page attributes) which will override the global setting. The individual settings can be found in WordPress for each page/post you create for your site.Cryout Boxes
Go to Appearance > Widget > Presentation Page Columns > Cryout Columns (you can drag this widget into the Presentation Page Columns box from the widget list on the left) and then add your content within the Cryout Columns settings.I hope that helps!

I had the same issue finding how to change the 6 images on the homepage and thought to look further, as I’m sure others had the same issue. I found the answers on another topic: http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/forums/t/presentation-page-these-little-pitcures

Rick
Found the problem. The googles reminded me that blank spaces/lines after the ‘?>’ at the end of a file can cause problems.
So, the themes-styles.php file had some extra spaces after the ‘close-php’ code. I removed that, and the RSS feed is now working.
It may be that I had edited that file in the admin-editor, and the extra lines were added. I’d have to look at the original theme files to see if there are the extra spaces there.
But, for others that might have this problem; check any modified theme files for extra spacing or blank lines after the ‘close-php’ code.

I tried this and it works in the settings but it seems there is an override which will always display just five icons. Has anyone found a solution?
thanks,

Cryout Creations mastermindHi again!
We are really not getting any of these things in our tests. Please try to disable all plugins and check to see if the problem still persists. If it does please create a new Premium support ticket here https://www.cryoutcreations.eu/premium-support (you don’t have to pay anything ;)) and write TEMPERA THEME SETTINGS as the Transaction Info. In the message give us detailed info about your issue and a temp username/password to your WordPress installation so we can check it out ourselves.

Cryout Creations mastermindIf you’re getting the red cross it means the path to the image is wrong or that you have some server issues. That’s not theme related. However I see your site looks great now so I take it you found and fixed the problem.

Greg
I’m using Google Chrome and Firefox, issue exist on both of them.
I found a way to go around this issue, but it’s pain in the back and it’s taking ages.
I exported default setting to the file, and than made changes manually in the settings code itself, than imported modified file to parabola settings and it actually works. Of course if I make any changes in Parabola setting in admin panel it resets to default again.

I found that if I deselect the presentation page, then I get my sidebar. What I want is have the presentation page and my sidebar on it. How do I do that?

I found the issue:
It is a matter of the international characters within the used font. Although you can change the settings formally in CSS, the font will be overtyped again in style sheet “style-frontpage.css”, see comment /* ISSUE */.########################################
### out of style-frontpage.css – BEGIN
########################################
#front-text1 h1, #front-text2 h1{
/* ISSUE */ font-family: “Open Sans Light”;
display: block;
float: none;
margin: 0px auto;
text-align: center;
font-size: 35px;
line-height: 50px;
clear: both;
font-weight: bold; }
######################################
### out of style-frontpage.css – END
######################################There is the same issue with the slider titles. It is in style sheet “style.css”, see comment /* ISSUE */.
################################
### out of style.css – BEGIN
################################
.nivo-caption h2 {
margin-bottom:10px;
font-size:24px;
padding:5px 10px 15px 5px;
border-bottom:1px solid #444;
font-weight:normal;
text-align:right;
/* ISSUE */ font-family:’Open Sans Light’;
}
################################
### out of style.css – END
################################Would be great, if the developers could fix the configuration plug-in or someone could give me a hint how to fix it without fixing it again and again after reconfiguration Tempera with its configuation tool.

Out of curiosity, what browser(s) are you guys using?
I have found in the past, that WordPress does not play very well with IExplorer. WP Stuff that I could do no problem in Firefox simply did not work properly in IE. Perhaps switching browsers when updating your sites will help.

I have some of the same problem. If I update settings, the options.php will show, the settings have ben saved, but this site is only text. I have to restart to load the mantra settings page again.

Hi
Just another additional thing I found. I had a PNG file, which I re-sized to 64 x 64 to upload as a favicon, but it wouldn’t show on the tab. I converted it to a ICO file and it worked.

I found it.
you have to go to
appearance – widgets – Put some cryout columns in the presentation page columns.
Then those pictures will replace the six pictures at the bottom.Also for editing the text in the first page
tempera settings- presentation page – extras – extra text.December 12th, 2013 at 04:35 #14604In reply to: visual editor not working

Hi, I found another thread on here, with a similar issue and it was suggested to remove the theme from the admin files and re-install.
BINGO! It worked.
Crisis over, thanks for the awesome theme and great support threads.
(dunno how to close this issue but consider it resolved)

The same thing happened to me. Not only that: After that “not found” page within my site, when I tried to go to the dashboard or Home page, the whole site crashed and this time I got a Google message (not within my site) of “Page not found”.
This never happened to me with Parabola.
By the way, the site where I am testing Tempera is http://www.martinyrocha.cl
Cheers!

Cryout Creations mastermindHi Bruce!
We didn’t get that in any of our tests. We’d like to know if you ever got that with Parabola.
Also for debugging purposes since you say it’s not an important site, you could create a new Premium support ticket and give us temp login details for that site so we could check it out ourselves.
Thanks again for the feedback!

jim, as always, you are my hero! i have a couple more for you. i got the capitalization thing taken care of, but it didn’t uncapitalize “Home” in the menu. is there a way to do that? also, i was trying to get rid of the main menu and just have the top menu, but i can’t find a way to do that. i found a way that i thought would let me do it (by selecting only “top navigation” in the menu settings), but it didn’t work. i also found where i can hide BOTH the top navigation and main navigation menu, but not just the main navigation.
the tab thing didn’t work for any of the tabs other than the home page, but it’s better than it was. thank you for all your help!

Well, actually the double search form isn’t the problem (already solved that) – it’s the “no entry found” that bothers me. 😉

im sorry i meant automatically add to the presentaion page columns and slides . By experimenting with the settings i found out how to do this manually but not automatically.

Thank you. I found I had to make an ftp permissions change and Theme Options Import (and automatic plugin updates) now work.
However, I tried updating from Mantra 1.9.8 to 2.3.0 and the result is frightening! The current Homepage looks like an unedited base template full of empty boxes to put things in. I think the site is going to have to remain on 1.9.8 …
