Oh crap. I didn’t realize if you were being serious or not and when I tried to figure out what you mean I realized you were talking about the footer and I am so very sorry. I did not even notice it had been missing. I added a login button to it and completely didn’t see that. I am so sorry. It is never my intention to keep credit from being given where do. It has been restored where it rightfully was. Luckily the site has only been live for a month.

Anyone can help me?
My website is based on galley images with captions under the single images, like in the older Parabola versions: now i’m in trouble!November 28th, 2013 at 23:25 #14065In reply to: Remove title on all pages except blog

Hi Brandi
You can disable/hide page titles within Parabola Settings> Graphics Settings, this will not disable post titles.
Hope this helps

Hi Alison
I think you can do this by using the width slider within Parabolas Layout Settings.
I hope this helps…

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindHi.
I just tested Cookie Law Info with Parabola and the warning is displayed fine, including being responsive on small screens.
I couldn’t get Cookillian to display any notice, either on Parabola or on the Twenty-something themes.

I would like to continue giving you credit, but is there a place that I can change the wording of this tag line? I would like to change it to read as follows:

Even, after updating to Parabola 1.3.1 I have the same issues with mobile view on my site.
When you have a picture for the header of your site it looks horrible on mobile phone. I’ve made width of my tempale – 1200 px and so the header is 1200×80. With vertical align of the screen on a mobile device, a picture of a header has wrong proportions (it is too high for its width).November 24th, 2013 at 19:55 #13977In reply to: custom post types not supported?
pigsound
hi,
i suppose i have a similar issue as Kris described, but with another plugin (The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe Inc. http://www.tri.be )
it seems that the parabola theme places the CSS in the header of each page (as opposed to putting the CSS in its own file an then loading that file to the header). this causes overrides of css that should style custom post types that The Events Calender uses.
i have parabola 1.3.0 installed but the problem is still not handled as it should (as far as i can see).November 21st, 2013 at 14:43 #13849In reply to: Image in text fields
Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindI named the wrong file in my previous post. frontpage.php is for Parabola; in Mantra, the file is includes/theme-frontpage.php.
Open it, look for the line
// First FrontPage Title
if($mantra_fronttext1) {?><div id="front-text1"> <h1><?php echo esc_attr($mantra_fronttext1) ?> </h1></div><?php }
and replace this with your image HTML; then add the proper CSS to position/arrange that image HTML in the theme’s custom CSS field.PS: This should be done via a child theme; when done via a child theme, the file includes/theme-frontpage.php needs to be called (include_once()) by the child theme’s functions.php file, otherwise it is not read.

Cryout Creations mastermindThere are some issues with multisite installs we haven’t gotten around to fixing yet.
The media loader should be fixed in the 1.3.0 update.

I want a home page that does not display posts as well as a SEPARATE blog page that does. Is that possible with this version of Parabola?
November 20th, 2013 at 02:24 #13787In reply to: How do I get the logo bigger?

Hi Kay
I think if you increase the height of the header in Parabola Setting> Header Settings then it will allow you to put in a larger custom logo.
I hope this helps

November 19th, 2013 at 22:23 #13782In reply to: Featured Image in Pages
Stephen
Hi,
Did you add this to the latest release of Parabola? I am trying to add a featured image to my blog post and having issues.
If the image is above ~900px (haven’t tested the exact size), it appears as a header image behind my logo, not what I want. If it’s small, it just doesn’t appear.
Currently have a small featured image on this post: http://bsodforums.com/wordpress/cnbj2530-dpb-and-prncacla-inf-corruptions-windows-88-1/. It appears on the homepage, but not in the post.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindTo add borderless images in posts/pages, leave them unaligned. Parabola only applies the image border settings to aligned images.

Cryout Creations mastermindYou can only do that by editing the theme files, namely
frontpage.phpincludes/theme-frontpage.php (frontpage.php is in for Parabola)-

Cryout Creations mastermindThat is correct. And is explained in the 1.2.2 release notes:
Parabola 1.2.2 changelog
- presentation page now displays latest posts by default (requested by WordPress); this can be disabled in the theme settings
- presentation page no longer overrides static page (requested by WordPress); make sure you don’t select a static page under Settings > Reading or you will no longer see the presentation page

Got it! Thank you again! I put text into the site title and tag lines, then went into parabola appearance – customize – then header settings and then set site header to empty. It would be more logical if they allowed you to hide the site header when you are setting the site title and tag lines.

Jim
Hi Alina
This is all within Social Media Settings within the Parabola settings. The ones that show only do so because they have a ‘#’ symbol in the field where the proper link should go, if you blank the fields the icons wont show or put in the proper link.
At the bottom of the this settings page you can decide where you want the icons to show.I hope this helps

Hi Alison
1.At a guess Id think you have something in one of the Extra Text fields that are at the bottom of the Presentation Page settings in Parabola. Perhaps ensure they are all blanked out?
2.Not sure I understood what “Why isn’t there any text on the tab for the presentation page?” meant.
3.There are two Extra Text boxes that can be used for additional text on the presentation page.
I hope this helps

Hi Marc
When you create a page there is an option under Page Attributes where you can select a template called Blog Template (posts page). If you choose this it should display all your posts in the page. Then within Parabola Settings you can decide if you want them displayed as excerpts or full posts
I hope this helps

That’s fine, except that any image I choose will not look as good as the originals. I have tried installing alternative images but they don’t match properly in terms of resolution and size, and looking around to find the right matches will drive me crazy. I chose Parabola because as it is, it’s perfect for me. Any chance that the original images without the advertising can be sent to peterkal_AT_hotmail.com?
I am happy to ‘buy you a coffee.’ as is said at cryout creations.
