Hi Tim
I think when you add/edit the categories widget there is a box you can tick that says Show post count.
I hope this helps

to clarify, the widget.php and frontpage.php i was modifying were in my child theme folders. I can get this to work by modifying the parent theme’s widget.php file but I want a solution that will survive the client updating the theme without telling me.

Cryout Creations mastermindScreaming for help like that won’t get you anywhere. If you want to receive any kind of assistance you need to go beyond “slider is not working…..please help!!!” You need to give as much detail as possible about your problem, tell us when it was working, what you were doing when it stopped working, what plugins you have installed, if you tried fixing it in any way, did you update WordPress or the theme… that sort of thing.
I see you have it fixed now so that’s a good thing.

Cryout Creations mastermindThere’s a very easy solution to that for all themes. Go to the theme settings page >> Graphics and there’s an option called .. wait for it… wait for it… “Comments are closed text”. (the option is under Post Information Settings in Tempera.)

Iwona
Hi,
Just a little update from me. I have finally used Calibri font instead of Open Sans for the main text and Impact font in headers. The effect is not exactly what I wanted to achieve, but at least it looks fine and, what is even more important, the Polish diacritic marks display OK in Chrome. All in all, it is acceptable for me for the time being as I have to move on with my website and publish it soon.
Zoltan, perhaps it is worth trying to set a different font, just like Zed suggested. I know that the visual effect may not be perfect but I think you can still try to solve this issue on a later stage and set a different font for now. Such a small imperfection should not impede the workflow I think. It is always better to get things done than to be stuck with small-but-annoying issues that appear on the way. They will always do 😉
Good luck and all the best in your business!

Ben
Hi, The reason for installing a child theme is to allow changes to header and footer:
1. Header to include logo in header but still show business name and contact information (as trackable click events).
2. Footer to control text position and style.
3. Provide header and footer that are legible on mobile devices.I have attempted both Mantra and Parabola child themes, with the same result.
After disabling cache, create folder with -child name, place minimal style.css file, activate child theme, adjust header image, navigation menu, preview and view site. The navigation areas appear as bulleted lists or drop-down selection boxes, presentation page appearance changes, with slider image appearing at top=left of screen, over navigation list.
The child themes are at http://nucafe47.com/wp-content/themes/mantra-child and http://nucafe47.com/wp-content/themes/parabola-child the Parabola child setup style.css file is patterned on a working child theme installation at http://scriptswholesale.com/wp-content/themes/parabola-child

Cryout Creations mastermind@ Scott!
Actually sloppy and amateurish is getting the theme name you’re asking support for wrong. It’s ‘Tempera’ everywhere and you still manage to get it wrong. ‘Tempura’ sounds like the dark god of sloppy amateurs doesn’t it? Please pay a bit more attention to detail.
As for the slider, we’re using Nivo slider with our presentation page and we don’t claim that to be the best. Of course we’re going to encourage people to try out other stuff as well so that they may get the best possible experience. And the web designer that you are (using somebody else’s theme on your site just grants you that title) should know that things get a bit more complicated than that. For the slider on the presentation page we use a specific set of options for loading content into the slides. Now if the user decided to add 10 different sliders on 10 different pages, with different content on each slider, it would become very complicated without the use of custom posts (which are forbidden for themes on wordpress.org). Creating a Nivo slider plugin would be redundant as well as there already is a Nivo slider plugin on wordpress.org.
“Lacking attention to detail” for a theme that has over 200 options and is based on a framework that’s been constantly updated to the user’s needs for over 3 years now, really makes me recommend you another theme.
Good luck Scott!

Cryout Creations mastermindJavascript is not accepted by WordPress’ filters inside the presentation page fields.
You’ll need to manually edit the presentation page file (includes/theme-frontpage.php) preferably after copying to a child theme and placing the code directly in that file.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

I think the issue here, and this is what I am experiencing, is that the 6 Cryout Column Widgets that are initially on the presentation page (Fully customizable, Responsive, Endless Fonts, Layouts and Page Templates, Presentation Page, HTML5, CSS3 and more) are not showing up on the Appearance > Widget > Presentation Page Columns > Cryout Columns space so there is no way to drag then out (ie: remove them) or edit them.
I can drag a new Cryout Column Widget in and once created it seems to delete the original 6 and add the new one I have made. If I drag the new one that I made out and the space is empty then the original 6 are back in.
I believe this is what is confusing people. If I understand things correctly the original 6 are NOT editable and will be removed as soon as the user adds a Cryout Column widget that they have made on their own. Is this correct?

I cannot see where to edit what is currently in the columns. I have no idea where it is!
I want to change the pictures and the text above it and it would be really easy if I could navigate to them and make my changes. PLEASE tell me where the heck I can go to edit the pictures that are already visible on the presentation page and change the text and images?
Everything else is so easy to edit in fact easier than any other of these that I have done (only 2) but this is driving me insane trying to edit something that should be so simple!

Well then Cryout creations… Your answer is to D/L someone else’s plug-ins with a slider different then our current homepage slider? From a Web Design point of view that is VERY amateur and sloppy. Please make the Slider available for Plug-in or add it to the theme Tempura. Get it together guys great theme just lacking attention to detail.

Loving the theme still but I too am experiencing a problem with the pagination navigation on the presentation page.
On my Presentation Page, the page navigation is this:
1 2 3 > >>Clicking on >> returns a Not Found
Clicking on Page 2 returns Page 1.
Clicking on Page 3 returns Page 3 and expands the navigation to:
< 1 2 3 4 5 > >>
Clicking the single page advance > only works from Page 3.
Clicking on the single page back < from Page 3 returns Page 1.
Clicking on the single page back < from any page above 3 correctly returns the page.
Clicking on << returns correctly to Page 1.
Page 2 is never displayed. Many thanks,
