I second this request! I love the icon blocks, just not at the top of the block sections. I would love to use them, but not as the first thing viewers see after the slider image. If the Icon blocks could be rearranged above or below the “Featured Box Top” and “Featured Box Bottom” that would be wonderful!

Thanks, good to know the paid support is good. I just don’t want to go into a theme blind. Some have “pro” versions that I might be willing to pay for once I’ve tried the free version, but these cryout themes actually seem to have everything I could want. I used a free theme from another company for a different website, and while the theme was really nice, there was no support forum like this and the wordpress forum for the theme didn’t get many responses from the company or from others using the themes. These Cryout forums are nice.
July 24th, 2017 at 04:22 #50725In reply to: Mobile Menu
Sounds like the user is creating a single landing-page experience and nav menu may rely on a page turn. One solution may be to dismiss the nav menu if a link is activated and that link is a link to a page anchor (i.e.
hrefstarts with a#character).July 23rd, 2017 at 23:31 #50718In reply to: Replace motorbike
I figured it had to be easier than this, so I spent some time looking through the theme file structure, which led to this answer:
1. in the theme images, the bike image is in the static image folder. My first thought was just to replace this with my own ‘bike’ image. But eventually, I found you can
2. Go to Landing page > Slider > Slider image > Change file. That allows you to select a new front page image. This is not at all obvious, since after all, the image is not sliding. But there is a fairly cryptic note that says ” Slider Image The default image can be replaced by setting a new static image.” So there is a built-in method for this – it’s just hidden and not at all intuitive. I wish I’d found this before moving on to another theme. Maybe I’ll use Septera for something else.

I’m loving this theme. Thank you! The customization has been a relatively smooth process.
I would like to add the function of displaying the current post’s featured image between the category meta and the post title. I’ve tried editing a few files and can’t seem to get it right.
Any ideas?

I changed it then put it back.
I re-installed the theme via a widget from wp. had to go through some initial set up – colors, etc. could it be something there?
no go
Now I reloaded the theme at my hosting site. everything is now dated today, latest theme as on the download site.
my color changes and some of my new customization remained, some if not functional. my picture for the header shows installed, is set, etc, does not seem to show.
I tried it, no go.
all plugins are de-activate. – no go
I made your change again. it doesnt seem to do anything. went to the file, clicked on edit, make changes, saved. it said it was saved.
no diff.I am almost ready to change the theme except I really liked this one.

Tried to preview one of the new themes, I can not. I get an error. I accessed my site and went to preview a new theme.
Got this: politicsrecycled.com redirected you too many times.I can not edit widgets.
I can not see the Headings properly in a post.
When exactly was the last update as I think that is the cause of all this.
everything worked fine before.Even Though Zed says it is not the update, that is the only thing that could have caused all these problems to begin around the same time.
I would really like a reinstall of theme prior to last update – was it befor july 3 or after?Website: politicsrecycled.com

Cryout Creations mastermindThe theme’s featured boxes are designed to grab their content from posts.
If you want it to behave otherwise, you’ll need to customize the queries that generate the boxes.

Cryout Creations mastermind1. If the problems are on the dashboard backend, we can only investigate them if we can also login into the dashboard.
2. It looks like the footer-loaded scripts are all missing. If you’ve modified any theme files, restore the original copies (or make sure they do not break the wp_footer enqueueing location).
Your site ends with a very weird bit of script:
document.write("<img width='1' height='1' src='/?78ae0ad7=1&r="+escape(document.referrer)+"&u="+escape(document.URL)+"&rnd="+Math.random()+"' /<");
Maybe this is the same image you see on the backend? If you do not remember adding this script, it could be an indication that your site got hacked. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Cryout Creations mastermindIt looks like you’ve disabled the theme’s presentation page, so I can’t check the markup of the text area.
But I noticed something else – you’re using a child theme but have copied the entire parent theme styling to the child theme’s CSS. This is generally a bad idea as the parent theme can change in time. You should only include the customized styling in the child theme and also load the parent theme’s style.
We have a basic child theme tutorial here:

Thank you! I forgot to update this post to say that I’ve figured those two out. One thing I still can’t figure out is the featured images are showing up with right and left gray borders in Chrome and in IE the images are full width. Is there a featured image size I should be setting up?
July 20th, 2017 at 09:30 #50301In reply to: Site background colour doesn't work after update
Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindVersion 1.0.4 slightly changed how the content background colour option works. Before it (incorrectly) applied to individual posts elements, while now it applies to the whole content container (be it a page, a single post or a whole category page containing multiple posts) as we always intended it to do.
The site background color option works the same as before, and applies to the body background color (which you should be able to see on the sides if you zoom out or view the site on a large enough screen).

Cryout Creations mastermindThe link removal feature is not yet available for Anima. We usually release it closer to the point when the theme gets approved and becomes published in the WordPress.org themes repository as we never know what changes we’re requested to perform during this review which might also change the link removal code.

Power UserHi,
I must admit I really hesitate to update Fluida, since I had many problems last time I did, about 6 months ago, losing the forum with all the discussions that were in it…
Is there anyway to make updates that allow to choose what changes we want before they are implemented?
Thank you and best regards,
Julie

Cryout Creations mastermindYour site may be retrieving a corrupt archive from our server (or some bits get lost in between).
We always test our updates after release so this is not a permanent error. It if doesn’t sort itself out if you retry updating later, you can also perform a manual update by deleting Anima and installing the updated copy (don’t worry, your settings will remain as they are).

Kay
Cryout Creations mastermindHi guys,
EDIT: During the previous theme’s review process we were asked to make the landing page only activate when a static page is set as the homepage. This is why Anima (and Septera) behave differently than Fluida.
In the next update we’ll make the landing page description much clearer (and bolder) and add a link from it to the ‘Front page displays’ option for ease of use.
Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Upstairs friends Hello, I solved this problem.
Must be in the static home page option, select a page to be able to show the same as in the example.

I too am having issues with the landing page. Some times it will show and other times it will not. When I go to the theme’s “customize”, the landing page will most of the time not show in the preview pane even when enabled. When it doesn’t show in the preview pain it will not show on the front end. With the landing page enabled it acts like its disabled and the default WordPress home page is shows.
I have tried it in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Explorer all with the same response.

Cryout Creations mastermindWhat you’re seeing is Anima’s “Landing Page” feature (that is activated by default) which tries to draw its content from your posts and pages.
You can administer its content and appearance or turn it off entirely from the theme’s options in the customizer.

Cryout Creations mastermindThe /stores/ page you are indicating does not exist on your site.
What you are describing should not happen. WooCommerce renders in content inside the theme’s layout, meaning that if the sidebar is active it has to be the same width regardless of the site section currently viewed (a category, page or store section).

disabled ALL the plugins and it still does it. I have two sites using Fluida and I think the last update did this, to both of them. I have a test post page with diff headings sized print. when it initially loads it flickers with the correct sizing, but then when fully loaded the print all appears paragraph, normal print size. However, a preview comes out correct. ???????????????
