There is no magic solution to make sure the text is readable on any kind of slide images (without changing the theme’s design).
You can try using a different slider plugin which displays captions below the images (or with an opaque background).

The issue is random and depends on how fast your browser/connection download the images from WordPress’ image caching servers.

What is creating/adding those links? As they are already styled differently than standard widget links.

– maintain height mode is intended for sliders where the caption is more important than the slide image; it maintains the slider height on all screen sizes (to keep the caption fitting in) while cropping the sides of the images to fit on the screen.

As a workaround you can try creating two separate slides and using the different shortcodes to include the correct slider for each language version.

Refreshing the browser on these individual resources seems to get them loaded eventually, so it isn’t a missing files problem.
Either you have broken caching functionality (plugin or server controlled) or your hosting service is malfunctioning.
Does the site work correctly with one of the Twenty themes active?

However, do note that you have some markup errors (a paragraph inside an existing paragraph) which can cause issues depending on how the browsers handle this.

You’ll have use the “view diffs” link for each individual file as the theme is too large for the changes to be displayed in a single list.Depending on the customizations you’ve implemented the update could go from not having to do anything to having to adjust most of the styling customizations.
Note that Tempera 1.5 is a major update and implements quite a few visual tweaks and changes.If you’ve made any changes directly to the theme files (not through a child theme), such changes would be lost on every update.

If you want to fit two widgets one next to the other horizontally you’ll need to increase the widget area width and use custom CSS to customize the stacking:
