I second that. Menu goes away in mobile view and when minimizing the browser’s window. (with activated responsive layout)

Another vote for the ability to display more than 5 icons please. I have used all my spaces up and have 3 icons I still need to display so am looking at having to use a custom menu and some manual coding instead. Would be much easier to add more via the Tempera Settings 🙂

Hi, I’ve recently updated the Tempura theme on my website and now the logo which was placed at the top left of the page has gone? I’ve also grey dashes at the sides?
I’ve tried reloading it through Tempura Settings > Header Settings but no changes. Any ideas?

First off, this is a great theme.
I also think adding this feature would improve the experience. Being able to have the social media widgets as well as the search bar on the presentation page would be excellent.August 17th, 2014 at 20:05 #26801In reply to: Open Graph: meta property="template"

I am having exactly the same issue here, I am using WordPress 3.9.2 running Tempera 1.2.2.
When I go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ it shows me this:
Warnings That Should Be Fixed
Extraneous Property Objects of this type do not allow properties named ‘template’.
Parser Mismatched Metadata The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘template’This might be the reason why the FB thumbs are not working correctly, would be nice to see this fixed…
Kind regard, keep up the great work

Cryout Creations mastermindHi Thierry,
Did you update to the latest version of the theme and did you enable the above mentioned “Force Header Responsiveness” option? Also, could you show us a link to your site so we can check it out ourselves?

I too cannot publish to facebook with this meta property included.
I could just edit the theme, but it’ll come back on the next update.
I have tried adding this line to my child template, but it doesn’t do the trick, no matter what priority I set it to.
remove_action (‘cryout_seo_hook’,’mantra_seo_template’,1);I don’t mind letting people know I use the Mantra template, in fact I’m proud of it, but Facebook and w3c both throw fits about this property.
Please advise.

OK, so I found the solution; you really have to edit it in the backend but not where Andreas thought but under “Beitragszusammenfassungen” (should be something like “Post summaries” in English). It is not included in the .po/.mo language files.

Hi Patrick! I´m having the same problem than yours. I can´t center my menu. I´ve tried with the option Parabola Settings > Graphics Settings > Menu Alignment > Centre, but it doen´t work. I´ve checked your web site and I see the your menu is centered right now. How did you get it?

I had the same problem, and I tried out the solution proposed by Randy: I changed the settings in the presentation page to a higher number (to show 6 posts instead of 4). Now the button works fine. Thanks Randy!

In my limited experience, that’s what “responsive” means; the theme adapts to mobile devices by detecting a mobile browser and displaying a mobile-friendly version of the site.

That’s perfectly understandable. Apologies.

Cryout Creations mastermind@martin Thanks a lot for the feedback and the help you provide but please don’t share unverified links of theme files.
For other users looking for older theme versions, you can always find them on WordPress.org. All of Parabola’s previous theme updates can be found and downloaded from here https://wordpress.org/themes/tempera/developers/

I use no custom CSS.

August 9th, 2014 at 22:19 #26664In reply to: Tempera Settings Black Buttons unclickable
Sara
Hello! I have the same problem.
The server is running on ubuntu 12.04. I use firefox. I use the latest version of WordPress (3.3.1) and Tempera 1.2.2.
I made a fresh install of WordPress and Tempera.
I disabled all plugins, uploaded the theme again, deleted the browser cache but tempera settings menu stayed unclickable.
I tried also to use older versions of Tempera (1.0.0 and 1.2.1) but tempera settings menu was still unclickable! I tried also chromium but nothing changed.
What can I do?Best regards,
Sara
P.S.: I choose your theme becouse I liked it a lot! 🙂 Thanks for everything!
August 9th, 2014 at 18:54 #26660Kay
Cryout Creations mastermindHi again guys,
@Catalin Baicu Actually I am one of the theme developers 😉 And the reason we suggested a force refresh (normal refreshes don’t do the trick so you must go the Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+R way) is because in this 1.4.0 update we’ve moved some JS files around inside the theme and browser cache may remember them somewhere else. And as you’ve seen, most other users found that the force refresh works. Also this is a local issue and other visitors on your sites would not encounter the issues you’re getting.
Anyway, first of all we’d have to ask you to disable the maintenance mode you have enabled right now so we can check the issue ourselves. Another thing would be to change themes and see if this still occurs. The issue with post images not showing really doesn’t have anything to do with this update. And a third thing to try would be to disable all plugins and check then.
@Daniel You have custom CSS code added to the theme. Your menu is absolute positioned and that doesn’t really work with responsiveness. Remove custom CSS related to the main menu’s positioning and everything should be back to normal. Before posting consider reading our short theme debugging instructions.

Hi Kay,
thank you very much for your lightning fast answer! Now it looks exactly the way I imagined 🙂
This motivated me to play a little bit with around with CSS and I already managed to change the look and the colors of the e-mail subscribe field and button (with the help of “firebug”).
See you around in the forums!
DanielAugust 9th, 2014 at 04:16 #26654Catalin Baicu
Hi Kay.
I have tried your recommendation by refreshing the website with ctrl+F5 or ctrl+R , even more I have simply refreshed with F5 on windows pc, and also by using the browser refresh button and all this for more then 10 times each, and still the images on the slideshow and all posts images are still broken and don’t show.
However, I have done also a big research into trying to downgrade to an earlier version of PARABOLA and seems that at least from the parabola team developers I have not yet received any help apart of suggesting to refresh my page which obviously turned to be of no help.
Anyway, refreshing my page was a primary instinct of mine when I saw this broken images straight after upgrading the parabola theme. But thank you anyway for your help and again I have to repeat that the problem with the new update of parabola v.1.4.0 is still not resolved!

Kay
Cryout Creations mastermindPlease search the plugin developer’s site for this type of info. It is not theme related. Anyway, as it states in the very link you gave us:
Open wp-content/themes/
/index.php
You may place it in archive.php, single.php, post.php or page.php also.
Find:
Add Anywhere Below It (The Place You Want The Views To Show):As always, we recommend the use of child themes for modifications like these.

Cryout Creations mastermindYou can’t paste PHP in the custom footer text field. If you want to do this you’ll have to get your hands dirty and edit some .php files. /includes/theme-functions.php would be the place where it’s at. As always it’s recommended that you use child themes.
Good luck!

Cryout Creations mastermindHi Rick and thanks for your feedback and for sharing your experience.
These type of issues can also be caused by faulty plugins. Should other people encounter ‘locked’ theme settings you should disable all plugins for a moment and check the theme settings then.
Good luck!

I would rather recommend to install an earlier version of parabola instead downgrading wordpress. To downgrade wordpress is not a good idea at all as well as parabola theme is not good to downgrade it for security reasons but since there is a problem (a bug) with the theme, I only see this one option to downgrade parabola instead wordpress. However, since there is no support here on the website in regards to this issue from the author of the theme, I don’t see any solution but to downgrade to an earlier version. Now another problem is that an earlier version is not to be found on the website and so far on the internet as well. So….!!!

The “Leave A Reply” Cannot be shut off. Why? I’ve spent hours looking at php settings in the editor. This is absurd. I simply want to shut off comments or replies on a page. Why is that so hard?
