Well….my issue is fixed but it does not seem to fix the original post. I was able to clear the color completely from the slider color settings in the theme and it worked. I still don’t know the class that needs to be modified to affect the transparency though.

Sorry to switch usernames on you. It is Michael here. Yes it appears that the number of widgets I tried were all incompatible…..the standards work however and I have found an alternative that works. Sorry about the trouble.
Thanks for the response!

I tried using the Site Title Font line under Text Settings but my font didn’t change. The Theme Font says Yanone Kaffeesatz Regular, but acc. to the Help bubble, if I enter a Google font in the box beside it, that should override the Theme font. I’ve entered Ubuntu, and entered Google fonts for Post and General fonts as well, but the fonts have not changed. I don’t see a way to take off the Theme font (the Theme font still shows up in the box). Suggestions?

Thanks for that. Tried that and changed the font size on the .css file but it didn’t do anything.

I got the answer to this.
I was looking in the wrong CSS page, I was looking at the view source instead of the CSS area in the theme settings.January 14th, 2015 at 00:44 #29110In reply to: Can't Change the Main Layout

Cryout Creations mastermindAre you all using IE (11 or otherwise) as Dawn?
Yup, I can confirm this. Thanks for pointing it out. And we were hoping IE finally became a real browser…Apparently, it works if you click on the very thin white space between the hover border and the layout image itself, so you can use this workaround until we figure out what’s going on and get it fixed.

Agreed, same problem here. I have tried everything to remove the page links that appear at the bottom but no luck. A solution for this would be great, or a recommended plugin as an alternate.
If this theme had woocommerece support it would be the best theme I have ever used. Would be willing to pay to add it.

I also would love to have this feature, I have tried some third party plugins to accomplish this but they are not working with the theme. Any suggestions? Potential update add-on?
Thanks

I am having the same problem with the Mantra and Tempera Cryout Creation WordPress Themes. I have been up on the internetwith IPage since November and I still do not have any menus that work on mobile devices. I tried Tempera because it was theoretically more responsive than Mantra and I still have the same problem. I don’t understand how this kind of problem is occurring with otherwise great themes. We can’t be the only ones. I’m sorry that no one seems to have helped you since September

I have tried all these suggestions and I, too, cannot get the nirvana settings drop downs to work. This is quite upsetting as finally, after years, I found a theme I LOVED!
Any other suggestions?

Yuka–Thank you 🙂 Got it.
Cryout–FYI:
I deleted the updated install from my site and replaced it with a .zip install downloaded from your site. No change in the bug.
If it will help, I can give you Admin privileges to my site so that you can experience the issue first-hand. It is a build in progress, and nothing there is sacred at this point. Skype me at “abcompany-dot-com” if you would like to do this. I will leave the 1.03 install in place for a few days waiting for your reply.January 11th, 2015 at 06:11 #29056In reply to: Bug in version 1.0.3

Same issue–updated to 1.03 and Nirvana settings are locked. Tried it on 2 computers and FireFox + MSIE, same. How do I revert to 1.02?

I’ve tried all but one of these suggestions and still not working. With the last suggestion, there is a note that says any changes will be deleted with updates, so that one seems pointless.
I’d really like to know how to do this as it’s an obvious misalignment.January 10th, 2015 at 22:06 #29051In reply to: Bug in version 1.0.3

Had this same problem after upgrading to wordpress 4.1 and nirvana1.0.3.
I could still export and import the settings just fine, so I ran the export thru a json parser and noticed in the export file the key “nirvana_socialsdisplay[0-x]” had string values in some fields and numeric in others.
I fixed it by searching for all the occurences of “nirvana_socialsdisplay[x]”:1, and replacing with nirvana_”socialsdisplay[X]”:”1″ (I enclosed the 1’s in quotes). I then reimported the settings file and everything started working again fine.

Hi Zed,
Great theme, but this is not working either on Safari or Chrome browser 1280 mac 13′ monitor. Tried several settings in Column Display but it doesn’t work. If I disable the responsiveness in layout setting it works, but that’s not an option. Any idea?Thanks

Suche im Template die “frontend.css,
scroll runter bis zum Eintrag: .slide-text
dort dann “text-align:left” auf “text-align:center” stellen

Zed, tried switching themes to Twenty Eleven, uninstalled Nirvana 1.0.3, downloaded a fresh copy, and reactivated it. Still the same problem; menus won’t expand. Email me if you want me to try something different.

Thanks.

Never mind. I got it back.
Prior to the update i was having issues with the main nav drop down arrows. I just read a post about disabling CSS minification in the caching plugin. So i thought maybe it was all related. I disabled that setting, emptied cache, emptied minify cache… and slider is back…January 6th, 2015 at 23:57 #28978In reply to: Columns not displaying in replicated blog posts page

I understand this has something to do with float and that it is not applying to my custom post types for some reason. I assume this is because posts are renamed at somepoint in the tempera code but I can not find the location to add my custom post type to whatever loop has been engineered here. If anyone has some ideas on a quick work around to get the float to apply it would really make my day!!
I have changed my page template, it now is a direct reflection of the blog template, minus the get_option and $paged which seems to draw out the regular posts and none of the custom posts.
Here is my current page template.
<?php /*
Template Name: Boat Show
*/ ?>
<?php get_header(); ?>
<section id=”container” class=”<?php echo tempera_get_layout_class(); ?>”>
<div id=”content” role=”main”>
<?php cryout_before_content_hook(); ?>
<div class=”container”>
<?php
$paged = (get_query_var(‘paged’)) ? get_query_var(‘paged’) : 1;
$the_query = new WP_Query( array( ‘post_type’ => ‘bs_posts’) );?>
<?php if ( $the_query->have_posts() ) :
/* Start the Loop */
while ( $the_query->have_posts() ) : $the_query->the_post();
global $more; $more=0;
get_template_part( ‘content/content’, get_post_format() );
endwhile;
if($tempera_pagination==”Enable”) tempera_pagination($the_query->max_num_pages); else tempera_content_nav( ‘nav-below’ );
else : ?>
</div><!–container –>
<article id=”post-0″ class=”post no-results not-found”>
<header class=”entry-header”>
<h1 class=”entry-title”><?php _e( ‘Nothing Found’, ‘tempera’ ); ?></h1>
</header><!– .entry-header –>
<div class=”entry-content”>
<p><?php _e( ‘Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.’, ‘tempera’ ); ?></p>
<?php get_search_form(); ?>
</div><!– .entry-content –>
</article><!– #post-0 –>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php cryout_after_content_hook(); ?>
</div><!– #content –>
<?php tempera_get_sidebar(); ?>
</section><!– #container –>
<?php get_footer(); ?>
I have tried putting div class containers around code. Because I see the post meta is spanning the page and perhaps because this is not in the container is why the float is not working properly.
Obviously this did not work.
Can anyone PLEASE suggest a work around to get the float to work properly and the posts to display 2 across as they should.
Please.January 5th, 2015 at 19:29 #28961In reply to: How do I turn off the Comment Field?
Tom
Comments were previously disabled and no pages or posts were created with comments enabled originally. Only one comment managed to be posted between the time the field was somehow activated and now. I have since permanently deleted it and no comments remain on the site at all. I have double checked all of the pages and none of them have comments activated in the screen options.
I may have narrowed down the issue to conflict with a plugin: Flickr Photostream. On a whim I copied the code out of “theme-comments.php” and deleted its contents. When I reloaded the pages I had open one of two things would happen, the load would freeze and continue to attempt to connect indefinitely or I would receive a CURL error which mentioned the Flickr API. This only happens on pages where I currently have the plugin’s shortcode pasted in for photosets. What’s strange however is that the comments field appears on multiple pages including those which do not include those shortcodes. Stranger still, the comments field is still visible when the plugin is deactivated (but still installed). These may be two separate and unrelated issues, however.

Hi Paul – 1.0.1 had a problem where there was a missing function name in a critical file. This causes PHP to have a bit of a fit and thus break the site. I applied the fix as per Zed’s comment and it’s now working as expected.
I’ve not tried 1.0.2 yet…

Have you tried text widgets to check if they work?. Maybe the problem is with slideshow widget you want to show in this place?

@Laura
You have to copy&paste your FB address to link field in Nirvana settings. Forget #. It is placeholder only meaning “this place”. When you leave # as address, correspondent social icon appears but has no apparent effect when clicked as it points to the address you already are (“this place”).January 2nd, 2015 at 17:15 #28902In reply to: Dec 31st update broke my site

I don’t understand what Sunil is saying with all the grammar errors. Not to be rude. I just want to be able to fix this and can’t. Do I add
nirvana_content_nav
to line 330? My line 330 is currently blank in my theme-loop.php.Also I am renaming my nirvana folder via ftp and uploading the 1.0.0 version. I hope that overrides and lets me back in my site. Right now I have no access what so ever.
Ok. I just copied the folder and now I have access. I saved the last folder by renaming it, just in case. Blog is back up and running. Phew, close call.
DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR NIRVANA THEME TO 1.0.1
Zed, please give us a fix ASAP! By the way, I love all the Cryout Creations themes! (maybe not the zombie one, it’s kind of weird.)

The latest update seems to have changed my default thumb sizes. They are set to 150×200 but on some galleries they now appear at 130×200 and on some they now appear at 100×200.
Why is this, can it be corrected, and if not, how do I revert back to the previous version of Nirvana?
Thanks in advance!
