Bill
Hi,
I’m a big fan of the theme. It looks exactly how I wanted and is easy to customize and use. I am having a problem with the theme’s responsiveness on mobile devices. The theme looks awesome and the right sidebar displays exactly what I want it to. On my tablet (a Nexus 7) it displays properly in landscape mode, but not in portrait. In portrait the right sidebar’s content is pushed to the bottom of the page displaying above the footer. On my android phone, it won’t display at all, again pushing the content of the right sidebar above the footer. I have tried changing the dimensions of the main content, and the right sidebar but this still happens. Is there a setting I am neglecting? I am sure there is something I am not doing correctly, but I can’t figure it out. Any help is much appreciated.

Cryout Creations mastermindYou may have a plugin that is interfering with the theme’s colour fields.
Do you by chance get two colour selectors if you click on a colour field in the theme settings?Cycle your plugins off until you figure out which one is causing this.

Hi again,
could you maybe explain further?
The one picture with a different size has the same size as the others in original. 🙂
They were all taken with the same camera and same settings.Thanks,

Kay, you’re custom css seems like a simply and quick fix, but using it doesn’t make the top and bottom margins shrink. And, like Gabriele, I tried all of those other variations but had no success. I love this theme, but these big top & bottom margin areas without a featured adjustment is aggravating.
If I were to pay $25, would I receive the secret to changing this on my own, or do I receive a “pro’ version with additional changeable options…like removing the copywrite. I’m open to this because I like this theme so much.
Please settle this topic, as it has 5 different posts in the forum all asking the same question. How do we shrink the top/bottom margins within the various areas on the Presentation page?
Thanks for your work and your time.

Hi Sharon,
As far as I can see you have 8 Cryout Columns on your Presentation page.
Take a look how I see your page!
I believe you manage to fix the problem in the meantime! 🙂
(BTW – the “Blog” link you provided doesn’t lead anywhere – the page doesn’t exist.)

Hi Theresa,
Well… I’ll try one more guessing… 😉
As it seam to me your header image cause the “trouble”. Even dough, I must admit I also like it how it looks like. Therefore, I would try to bypass or get around the “problem” in the following way…
1) I would resize the header image just a little bit and make it little smaller.
2) Then I would as a “Site Title” put just the acronym (“YVSA”) of your full site name (in my previous message I described where and how to do it under 1a and 2a)
3) The “Tagline” I would leave blank.My guess is (if you do what I just suggested) your acronym would appear somewhere above your logo (in the circle). And I believe it wouldn’t damage the good look of your site.
Besides, you can also adjust the size of the title (acronym) under “Tempera Settings” –> “Text Settings” –> “Site Title Font”, by picking a smaller size of the Font (instead e.g. 38px – you can choose 30px or even lower).
Hope this would finally help! 🙂
February 11th, 2015 at 19:46 #30550In reply to: How to create a blog page collecting posts?
Ana-Maria
Hi Tina,
As far I can see, it seams to me that you didn’t properly indicate (in your settings) which page is going to be your Blog page (and behave like a common blog).
Therefore, I would suggest you to check the following:
1) Under the “Appearance” go to “Customize”
2) There check the “Static Front Page” it should look something like this…According to how I understand your page:
a) In the box under the “Front Page” in your concrete case should be “START” page as your static Home Page, and
b) In the box under the “Post Page” I believe you should select the page titled as “BLOG”When you do that, press the (blue) button on the top to SAVE this settings.
After that I believe your posts would work OK.
——————————————————
In addition, and if you want to remove the “Unser VIP Blog” page from your Primary Menu – you can do that under the “Appearance” –> “Menus”I hope this would help you solve the issue. 🙂

You are seeing this only when you are logged into WordPress and have the site open in another tab/window. Go to Dashboard and on the right upper part you will find Howdy, admin or your name. Under that go the Edit Profile and uncheck “Show Toolbar when viewing site”.

Marie
Yes, they are the same size.
I also experience smaller pictures to get bigger. But that’s no problem.My problem is that all new sliders are not 500 px in height, even when that is what I chose in settings. Older slides always change when I change the settings of the height – but never the new slides I put in. No matter what size the picture is they are always the same size (but smaller than the old slides).
If that makes any sense 🙂 Do you see it on my website?
Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindDo the values set in settings revert as well or are they just not applied to the site?
Are you getting any weird behaviour on save? (several page reloads, text at the top of the page)

I have an issue that is frustrating me, the menu on my home page is different from my other pages. I tried to set a menu i created as primary but still it doesn’t show on presentation page. The menu that is on the home page is stuck and I don’t even know how this happened or how to fix it. Please help me. I also noticed that my temporary url is still showing when I click on certain pages, I can’t delete it since it doesn’t give me the option to remove it, it only gives me an option to make it as primary and not to delete it. Are these two problems related in any way? Can anyone advise how to fix these issues?
February 7th, 2015 at 00:23 #29381George K
Hi Anna,
Thank you for your reply, I tried all that but in no vein. Well someone told me something that I didn’t understand, he said:
Here is the body tag from the home page:<body class=”home blog custom-background tempera-image-four caption-dark magazine-layout presentation-page coldisplay0″>
Here is the body tag from the application page:
<body class=”page page-id-8 page-template-default custom-background siteorigin-panels tempera-image-four caption-dark”>It looks like that home page is using a different page template than the other pages.
Does this sound familiar with anyone?
Please help since I’ve had this issue for so long that is frustrating me.
February 6th, 2015 at 19:43 #29377In reply to: Cryouts in column instead of row. How to change it?
Ana-Maria
I took a look on both sites (Tina’s and Amy’s) and it seams to me everything is working just fine.
Tina’s cryouts – http://prntscr.com/61tnk1
Amy’s cryouts – http://prntscr.com/61tnwwSo, I would assume you have found the way how to solve that.
Just one more idea cross my mind why you didn’t (or maybe still don’t) see it…
I believe it could be if you have a smaller screen on your computer or laptop.
As the Tempera Theme is responsive it automatically adjust to the screen size (so it could be equally readable on any device.
I have tasted both your sites on iPad and iPhone and they work perfectly.Therefore, depending of the screen size the number of cryouts could be seen.
E.g. when I resized the window your sites looks like:
Tina’s site – http://prntscr.com/61ts9m
Amy’s site – http://prntscr.com/61tskwHope this would help to clarify the cryouts “column mystery” if you already didn’t do it by yourself. 🙂

Hi Walter !
Yes, I add the code in the functions.php et it worked the same day (immediately).
I use a child theme, so I created the file functions.php in my child theme directory and here is the full content of my file :
<?php //mod content function hatom_mod_post_content ($content) { if ( in_the_loop() && !is_page() ) { $content = '<span class="entry-content">'.$content.'</span>'; } return $content; } add_filter( 'the_content', 'hatom_mod_post_content'); //add hatom data function add_mod_hatom_data($content) { //$t = get_the_modified_time('F jS, Y'); $t = get_the_modified_time('d/m/Y'); $author = get_the_author(); $title = get_the_title(); if ( is_single() || is_page()) { $content .= '<div class="hatom-extra"><span class="entry-title">'.$title.'</span> a été modifié le <span class="updated"> '.$t.'</span> par la <span class="author vcard"><span class="fn">'.$author.'</span></span></div>'; } return $content; } add_filter('the_content', 'add_mod_hatom_data'); // $content .= '<div class="hatom-extra"><span class="entry-title">'.$title.'</span> a été modifié le <span class="u//pdated"> '.$t.'</span> par la <span class="author vcard"><span class="fn">'.$author.'</span></span></div>'; ?>
Be carefull, I changed the date format in order to be printed as a French date format but, maybe it can help you to see how to integrate the code in your functions.file…
Good luck and I hope that you can find the problem.

JOAT.Handyman
Thanks for the info! Just to help others, the full code from BlindScientist above to add to the Custom CSS field on the Misc Settings tab is below.
.inline-slide-text {
background-color: rgba(88,110,16,0.6) !important;
}This will control the color of the caption shading as well as the opacity. The first 3 numbers in the rgba settings relate to the color and the 4th is the opacity with ‘1’ being opaque.
*You can use the code from frost.DIGITAL above the same way to control the little end cap shading on each line.

Just an addition, I have tried the transparency property for the main body with #main {background-color:rgba(0,0,0,0)} and it worked, but didn’t with the footer.
For the footer code, I just added the same code to my custom CSS but replaced “#main” with “#footer2” and that’s how it turned out.

Unfortunately, I believe you wouldn’t be able to remove it without paying for Premium Support (unless you are some excellent coding specialist – which for instance I’m not).
This guys made this quite awesome template available to us for free, and the only credit they can get is spreading the word about their work through those copyright links on our sites. It seems to me fair enough.

January 23rd, 2015 at 12:49 #29241In reply to: add project tags to project page – jetpack portfolio
Ed Wain
Hey, I don’t know if you ever got an answer to this, but I think this is the same problem I just ran into. I wanted to call in the project type as if it were a category, but the “get_the_categories” function didn’t work on the custom taxonomy. I posted my question, and subsequent answer, here on Stack Overflow, but basically, there is a function called “the_terms” which can call in custom taxonomies, such as the project type and project tags. It requires two parameters: ID, and taxonomy name.
<?php the_terms( $id, $taxonomy ); ?>
You can find the taxonomy names here, on the Github repo, right at the top, where it says:
const CUSTOM_TAXONOMY_TYPE = 'jetpack-portfolio-type'; const CUSTOM_TAXONOMY_TAG = 'jetpack-portfolio-tag';
so the code you want should be something like:
<?php the_terms($post->ID, 'jetpack-portfolio-type' <?php the_terms($post->ID, 'jetpack-portfolio-tag'
This should call the project type and the project tags, respectively. You will probably want to put this code in a “single-jetpack-portfolio.php” file, so that it only calls it on project pages, but you could instead just use conditional code (if else) in the “single.php” file.
This advice is coming from a beginner, so if it doesn’t work, hopefully it at least points you in the right direction.

Oleg
Hi, Cryout Creations!
Thank you for your theme for WordPress!
There is one small remark (desire). Unfortunately, plug-ins «comments» do not work with themes «Tempera» and «Nirvana». I have installed the «Subscribe to DOI Comments» and «Subscribe to Comments Reloaded». In «Subscribe to DOI Comments» Visitors see only check box with no text; in «Subscribe to Comments Reloaded» Visitors do not see anything (see any record on my site olegchuvakin.ru). With themes «Mantra» and «Parabola» these plugins work, check on the other its website, which is still being developed (optimusnews.ru).
Also, I noticed that the theme «Tempera» in the fields for comments disappearing icons [*] (in the fields, the mandatory where «E-mail» and «Name»). In your other topics such icons [*] are preserved.
Please tell me the solution of these two problems. I would not want to change the subject to another.

para que tu puedas cambiar el color de fondo por una imagen personalizada tienes que ir al CSS y realizar los siguientes pasos.
#header-full {
background: url(tu-header-personalizado)
}
para el header de parabola usar las siguientes medidas :
1583 px X 177 px
saludos .

Renee
strangely enough just changing the header background to white will not make the header image the same widge as the site background.
I’d love to be able to fill the entire header masthead with one image that sits behind to tabs and reaches all the way to the edges o the website, like the main background does. So I tried removing #FFFFF from the color scheme. nope, still didnt RESIZE the header logo masthead to fill in the entire area.
