Due to how the content of the presentation page is saved, there’s no way for it to support translation at the present time. Sorry but this is how things are.
We are still looking for ways to enhance the presentation page to support translations.

Check to see if a HTML code/entity (&some_letter; or Ӓ) is available for that letter and try to use that in your website title.
If WordPress filters it on input, try to manually edit the letter it in the SQL database.

You can disable this from the theme’s settings, under Presentation Page.
