    Hi

If you put nothing in the social icon links i.e. blank the field totally they wont show, alternatively within tempera settings there is a section called social media settings and the bottom of that section you can choose where or here not to display.

    I hope this helps

Any ideas how to make it transparent? I’ve identified the other locations I wanted to make transparent using the custom css, but can’t figure out which part affects the footer.

Hi. I’m having the same issue. If I reduce the number of displayed posts to less than the number of posts on my site, when I go to page 2 I get

    “Not Found

Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.”

I am still using Tempera 0.9.7 because my site needs pages, not a continuously expanding front page. Is there a fix for my site?

i am about to toss my laptop out the window. i have followed your widget instructions to the “T”, to no avail. the widgets were working find up the last theme update you guys made. i cannot make the widgets display on either 2 or 3 columns (prsentation page columns setup as widget columns). you have a great theme, but need to get this fix to finish. i even created the images to the specified dimensions depending on the number of columns i select. no luck.
i am working on a Mac Pro laptop. does the tempra theme not work properly ona mac? is this the problem??

what am i doing wrong? everything else on the theme works just find. please advise asap.

    Hi

I also having a problem with slider loading. I have 5 images on the slider and it seems to have a problem loading between the 1st and 2nd image. I tried deleting the first image and it moved the loading problem to between the new 1st image and the new 2nd image. Any help would be great as I love this theme and this is the last glitch before the site it complete!

    Many thanks

    Hi Cryout Creation!
I have to say out of all themes I have tried out, this one by far I absolutely love!!! It was the most user-friendly for someone who has no idea how to build a website. I have a couple of questions about the presentation page. Also, please check out my website that is still in its development stage, to better understand the questions I have below.

    (1) I can’t seem to get my logo image to configure correctly on the header, I did read where you explain on the forum about checking the layout & header setting, but my custom logo dimensions is 1800×1200. How do I get it to show up within the header dimensions and possible more centered?

    (2) The slider is my favorite feature but, it is not responsive when viewed on my ipad or tablet, the floating text box on the slider moves to the top of the slider hiding my content, even in landscape position. I have tried to even adjust the width & height of the sliders I inputted but to no avail! I would like the slider dimension to look similar to how the template was prior to me adding my slides. How can I fix these things?

    (3) My drop down menu on my I phone has my main menu in reverse, so instead of “about us” being first as it is on the navigation bar when viewed on my laptop, the “Contact us” is first. How do I fix this?

    (4) How do I add selection under my category drop down menu?

    Hi Nick

I see the indent on all the pages, including your Welcome page. πŸ™

Have you tried setting your paragraph indent to 0px in Tempera Settings > Text Settings, to see if that resolves it?

    Hi Gabriele

I checked on my ipad and confirm that I see what you’re describing – the cyrout images are fine in landscape and distorted in portrait view.

I don’t have any knowledge about these things, but it strikes me that because your site width changes in portrait, that the theme is re-sizing the image width accordingly. Have you tried disabling responsiveness to see if that helps?

I am just guessing with this stuff so if I am talking out of my backside, fair enough. I just wanted to at least let you know someone was listening. πŸ™‚

Good luck. I hope it gets resolved for you.

    Hi there πŸ™‚

I know creating your own blog can feel overwhelming, but try not to be disheartened. I am no expert blogger but Tempera has been (by far) the easiest to use and most effective-looking theme I’ve tried. A little trial and error works wonders! Don’t be discouraged. πŸ™‚

    1. You seem to have resolved this yourself πŸ™‚ (via Tempera Settings > Presentation Page > Extra Text).

    2. Slider Graphic
Go to Appearance> Tempera Settings> Presentation Page > Slides and make a selection for your slide content. The graphics will be the images associated with the content you select. The text will either be custom or a post excerpt, depending on what you select as your slide source.

    3. I am not quite sure if you mean the Cryout boxes (the four boxes with the dark hover-over text on my site) or general posts:

    a) Cryout Columns (boxes)
In Tempera Settings> Presentation Page Columns, select the source of the content and how many columns you want in the row.

If you choose Widget Columns as your source:
Go to Appearance > Widget > Presentation Page Columns > Cryout Columns (drag the widget into the Presentation Page Columns box from the widget list on the left – you can have as many as you like) and then add your content within the Cryout Columns settings.

    b) Posts
Appearance > Tempera Settings > Post Excerpt Settings > Home Page and set to excerpt. You could try reducing the excerpt character number to 0 if that’s how you want it to look? (NB It will only work for standard posts, not the specifically formatted ones).

I am not sure if this is what you were actually asking, but I hope it helps.

Check out the theme’s Presentation Page tutorial too: http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/wordpress-themes/wordpress-tutorials/how-to-use-the-new-tempera-presentation-page-columns

Have fun creating your blog! πŸ™‚

    Hi Camilo,

thanks for the tip. It worked. I tried it before but didn’t work. I guess it was a problem with a refresh which didn’t work. …maybe my browser.

    Have a great day!

    Kay,

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I need to know how to stop the opacity on image mouse hover for Presentation Page Columns.
If you view on a mobile device and scroll down on the device screen, the hover effect does not look good.

I have the same problem, on a site I built over a year ago, changed to this theme yesterday, and the slider is not shown. I did the same as Jessica above, home is Select and my blog page is the posts. I tried all configurations that I could, but it still doesn’t show up.

I will greatly appreciate any suggestions!

    Thanks in advance!!!

You did NOT make it easy to simply change the text on the main page. I almost quit using this.
PLEASE… stop making things hard. Most of us are noobies who cannot afford to waste hours hunting for basic things.

Thank goodness this topic was available. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think about the end user.

    Hi Kim

The cryout column widgets are, I believe, specifically designed to work ONLY with the presentation page.

    I hope this helps

    Hi there,

i am just starting with wordpress and i am looking for a responsive theme. i found yours and i like it a lot. there is just one issue with the responsivness of it.

it works fine on my phone, but i dont have a tablet to try it. anyway i did manually resize it on my pc.

if i open the browser as a full window it looks great, if i start to shrink the window it just doesnt shrink the images in the header slider of your theme until to a certain point, after that it works fine again and just minimizes everything, but from full screen (1920px) to about have of the screen size it just shrinks the website but the image of the header slider stays at the original size and it will display me a scrollbar.

this also happens, when i view a post itself. here it shows a horizontal scrollbar until i shrink it down as much that the widget bar (no matter if right or left) gets moved to the bottom, because of not enough space…

could you have a look into this. Yours is so far the best responsive layout i found. its only this little glithc

What if you want to embed a google drive movie? Google doesn’t appear to be covered by oembed with wordpress so only a link appears not an embedded video. Anyone know if it’s possible to get around that?

    thanks

    Hi Cathy

I believe you will find this under Post Information Settings within the Tempera Settings, just check the items you wish to show.

    I hope this helps

im having exact same issue saving a tempera setting, it breaks the CSS styles – viewing inline styles all colors settings are missing the hash tags- maybe that is issue? also to get something back you need to go reset to default. this is not good because everytime we wish to make new style change it breaks.

I haven’t tried this in the Misc. area of Parabola but I found this snippet that could help you.

    <?php
    $time = time () ;
//This line gets the current time off the server

    $year= date(“Y”,$time) . “<br>”;
//This line formats it to display just the year

    echo “Copyright 2002 – ” . $year;
//this line prints out the copyright date range, you need to edit 2002 to be your opening year
    ?>

Hello Dear Team! Thank you very much for this amazing theme! Just perfect!
I am a total newbie to WP and obviously doing something wrong – all recent updates appear in the PC version, but the responsive part on my Ipad does not display recent changes.
could you tell me what is wrong with my updates?
    Thank you a lot!

Have you tried the wordpress qTranslate plugin? It uses it’s own shortcodes to separate the languages. You can use the shortcodes anywhere you can write text. Example: <!–:en–>Hello<!–:–><!–:fr–>Bonjour<!–:–> When the the English site is selected, you will only see “hello” when the french site is selected you will only see “Bonjour”. It is very easy to use, and has a ton of languages.

    Hi Nikki
I believe both page and post titles use the same CSS. So my suggestion would be to go to Graphics Settings and set Page Titles option to Hide. Then put the page title within the text edit window at the top and set its font size and colour as you wish, using something like an <h2> tag.
I hope this makes sense and helps

Same problem as Amy whats going on please help.

    Thanks

    Radek

I found solution with Custom Content Shortcode.

I have page homepage (CZ) and its translation welcome-to-our-website (EN)

In Extra text -> Top Title I put this code:
    [loop type=”page” name=”homepage”][content field=”title”][/loop]
    and
In Extra text -> Top Title I put this code:
    [loop type=”page” name=”homepage”][content][/loop]

I also tried it without the loop section, because my homepage is the “homepage” page.
So I tried this code without the loop, because it should show the current page:
    [content type=”page” field=”title”]
But this is WRONG, because it displays last post (no page).

    Hi

I believe you can get it removed if you donate for Premium Support (see to the top right) otherwise if you leave it on, as a credit, you will continue to get free support.

    Hope this helps

Found a solution for anyone struggling with the same issue.

Deleting the theme files from the server didn’t seem to help, restoring theme options didn’t help. Finally went into the MySQL database and deleted the text in the option_value field for the tempera_settings option_name. The background is back to normal and the transparency is gone.

Had the same problem as Nyasha, “Not Found – Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.” when navigating the slider. Found that the plugin for InBound Now (Call To Action from http://www.inboundnow.com/cta/) was interfering with the slider, and when deactivated, the slider is back to normal!
