I have the same problem – social media settings have gone gaga as have the menu links. They pull up pages but there’s nothing in them. Please fix this ASAP.

Gary Oo
Further info….
I’ve tried THREE times to edit the Social Media Settings.
I’ve “un-ticked” top right hand corner and in the footer and then save changes, but it is not saving the changes. When I view my site, the icons are in the top right hand corner and in the footer!!
I’ve also checked page source and this is what I see for content:
<div id=”content” role=”main”>
<article id=”post-3″ class=”post-3 page type-page status-publish hentry”>
<header class=”entry-header”>
<hgroup>
<h2 class=”entry-title”>About</h2>
</hgroup>
</header><!– .entry-header –>
<div class=”entry-content”>
</div><!– .entry-content –>
<footer class=”entry-meta2″>
<span class=”edit-link”>Edit</span> </footer><!– #entry-meta –>
</article><!– #post-3 –>
</div>When I go to edit the page, all the original content is there.
So I’m clueless as to why the page contents aren’t being displayed.

Also you probably want to replace the 1150px with 1050px in the set of rules, because you modified the width and your site uses 1050 😉

Hey,
thanks for the reply.
1. I didn’t have the idea with 2 columns, I might try that. Anyway, I guess others might eperience the same issue, so maybe it would be possible to address it in one of the next releases!? It’s nothing critical but still a bit nicer if it’s aligned the same.
2. Your solution then assumes I always use the same format. I currently have landscape as well as portrait pictures as featured images, so one of them would still be stretched. I am not too familiar with the way wordpress handles thumbnails, but maybe it would be possible to use the native thumbnails or just a part of the picture? Personally I would prefer a cropped picture about a stretched one.

Cryout Creations mastermindThe dropdowns showing behind the slidershow will be fixed in the next version.
IE8 isn’t really on the supported browser list any more considering the current IE version is v11. But we’ll check out the issues and try to fix them for the next version.

Kat
This is what I did:
In the Presentation page, Columns section,
1) I left the IMAGE field empty
2) I put my title in the TITLE field
3) In the TEXT field, I put the url of the image and a sentence of text. To do this so the theme would not “scrub” (and more than likely remove what I did) my html, I created a draft post that contained the image and the sentence. While creating the draft post, I then clicked the ‘text’ tab, copied the code, went back to column setting and pasted the code into the TEXT field.Of course, you can omit the sentence of text.
There may be an easier way, but this worked great for me.

Believe I figured it out. Post shown under settings and Tempera Settings most be the same number. So if under Dashboard/Settings/Reading you have it to show 8 posts per page, then under Tempera Settings/Presentation Page must have it saying to show 8 posts.

Cryout Creations mastermindIs there an error on your page as well? Please disable all plugins for a second and see if the page works then. Incompatibilities with faulty plugins have been known to cause that.

Maybe you could try a plugin like Ultimate Category Excluder and see if that gives you the functionality you’re looking for?
Hope that helps.

I have also been trying to find a sustainable solution for this that will survive the client updating the theme. So far the most elegant solution I have found is to modify the widgets.php file to place the link around the image and the overlay that animates on hover. However, this will be undone as soon as the theme is updated and you will have to go in and modify the widgets.php file again.
I am not able to find a solution for creating a widgets.php file in the child theme folder.
Can we get some help from Zed or another DM on this?
January 23rd, 2014 at 01:15 #20204Allie
Sorry, just tested it. It doesn’t work with responsive site, or well on mobile devices. Basically the css styling is trying to make the “read more” button as large as the Column image, but makes it transparent so it appears the image is the link.
I told you… it’s not a great solution!
But if you insist on trying it, perhaps padding could be percentages to adapt to responsiveness? So css would look something like this?.columnmore a { opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); /* For IE8 and earlier */ padding-left: 80%; padding-right: 80%; padding-top:60%; padding-bottom:0px; .column-image-inside { opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); /* For IE8 and earlier */; }
I dunno. There’s probably a better way. maybe request it be an option?
January 22nd, 2014 at 21:37 #20197Allie
It’s not particularly elegant, or the best solution, but it might work it you add the code below to your custom css:
.column-image-inside { opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); /* For IE8 and earlier */; } .columnmore a { -moz-border-radius:0px; -webkit-border-radius:0px; border-radius:0px; opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); /* For IE8 and earlier */ padding:130px 250px; }

How can I tell the body background image to sit at the left bottom corner of the screen? I do not want it to take up the entire screen. So far it aligns left (as specified in the Tempera settings) but it will not sit at bottom of screen as desired. here is the code I’ve tried so far in the custom css field:
#body {
background-image:url(‘http://www.kingwoodscreengraphics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/pain-paint-splash-digital-art-397610.jpg’);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;
background-position: left bottom;
}thank you for a beautiful theme!

It would be fantastic if we could be able to have some widget custom and the some other that you could just say, are posts, selecting the ones you want each option.
The same happens with the blog (post page) that would be also fantastic if whenever you select the option in a page as: blog(post page)you could select by category, so they dont upload all the posts you have writen. If there is any way already, please let me know as I have tried to find it with no success!!!!

Hi Iwona,
thanks for your advice, I tried Calibri, set it everywhere on text settings, still on some places Open Sans is stucked in somehow 🙁 I don’t know how to get rid of it.
I’d like to find a solution, because this is a really nice theme. Some other themes I use also have this problem, but I use many that haven’t. I’d like to understand the logic behind this kind of problem that occurs time to time. I’m haunting usable themes to review them to the Hungarian WP users and I’d like this one to be among them.Best wishes!

Good comments about the logos! I have to say the clroos have grown on me! They are bright and catch the eye! I like the logo with the boxes at the end. It seems much more compact and not as distracting as the one with the big “X”. I get quite annoyed when people take Christ out of Christmas and replace it with a big “X”. I think people will know Christ is the center of our church once they come and experience it for themselves. We just need to get them to come out to check it out first. I think the top logo looks more modern and inviting for people who don’t usually go to church. Yet the blocks could show some connection like the church connecting with believers to win the lost, or something like that. The orange block could symbolize the new believer and the church plus other believers could be the other two blocks. When they come together you get an orange block or a new believer. Just a thought! Good luck in your decision!

Cryout Creations mastermindHi Jane!
I also replied to you on the wordpress.org forums. You can safely make the update – the message you are seeing is the default WordPress message and it appears for ALL themes when you make an update. It’s WordPress’ way of staying on the safe side in case something does go wrong.
There’s also an Export/Import feature on Tempera’s setting page so you can save the theme settings on your PC.
Plus, remember that this is a free theme for which we offer free support in our free time. Asking for support on a Saturday and expecting an urgent reply during the weekend is a little too much to ask don’t you think?
