This has possible little to do with the theme itself, and if that is the case, please let me know.

Here is me problem: my posts usually have more than 1 category (say, fruits, vegetables, meats). Breadcrumbs somehow always picks the same category to display (say fruits), and the subcategories (apples) from that one category. Is it possible to pick, or somehow assign, another category to choose in breadcrumbs (say, meats)? Perhaps through a functions.php modification?

WordPress lists categories alphabetically, always picking the first one when a post is present in multiple categories.

To control a post’s ‘main’ category use a plugin like WP Category Permalink.
