Could you clean that up and use only the font name/style in the field (without the rel=’stylesheet’ type=’text/css’ part)

Chrome may not like the extra text or misinterpret it.

I couldn’t find any special character function so I just did what I did on my old website, I wrote the word (i.e. Résumé) into a word doc and then created the accents in Word, then copied/pasted it into my site where needed. I wish there were a function built into the theme but I can’t find one if it exists.

Yes, I’m using the latest worpress version 3.9.1. I tried all browsers and still can’t get the “Parabola Settings” to work and some other settings.

Please do not confuse responsive with fluid.
Tempera (since 1.0) is responsive, as in it adjust automatically to 100% width when viewed on a screen/windows smaller than the width it is configured at.
However it does not enlarge beyond configured size when viewed on larger resolutions (this is “fluid” design).

I have a similar image. Happened this morning.
I have tried applying the default Tempera settings and it turned back to normal, but every small change I make removes the background and the navigation menu looses its back color as well.

You site seems to be working again, any idea what made it work again?

If you really *are* a designer you should know you can do a global search for any piece of code or text with your html editor.

Well, I found that the problem here lies with the Quick Tabs plugin…which generates its own shortcodes INCORRECTLY. The generated shortcode began [quick-tab…] when it should be [quick-tabS…]. What’s more it looks as though this issue’s been around for at least a couple of years. Seems like it would be an easy enough thing to fix.

Anyway…problem solved 🙂

By the way, I’ve been finding that at least 9 times out of 10 the Security Code widget on this forum submission page isn’t working. I tried the page in every browser I have here (IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome) – most of the time, I get either what looks like a broken image icon or the WORD ‘captcha’ where the captcha code should be. I’m posting a possible solution to the issue regarding

Is there a way to make transparent the background of the ‘Continue Reading’ box?

It’s actually a way around changing css or coding. Because, whatever code I tried to change or add in the style css, nothing worked.
So maybe this can be a solution.

Go to: Appearance–>Tempera Settings–>Post Excerpts Settings.
Enter/Add in the continue reading field the following:

<a>your own text</a>

This will result in the “read more” link appearing as an unvisited link on your page.
You can see an example of it on my page:

The read more text is not in a box, but displayed as an unvisited link.
On my page it’s the “lees meer” link (in Dutch language).

I just tried my own site on my GS3 running 4.4.2 and it loads zoomed in and you can only zoom out. Maybe you guys are already at maximum zoom level.

Okay, I read that the notice dercribed above could be caused by a plugin, so I deactivated that plugin. Seemed to have worked, But that’s not the end of this drama…
Now I’m getting this on the about me page :

I repeated your tutorial countless times, followed your instructions to a tee, resized my images, even copied one of your Cryout Column images to place into my Cryout Column layout, and my Page Columns STILL display in a vertical orientation. I’m after a 3 column horizontal layout.
I’ve seen others post the same issue, and as yet have not seen a definitive solution.
Please take a look at my site and provide some guidance please.

How to edit the pictures and texts in the Presentation Page. I have the same problem like Ann that i could not find a place to change the Presentation Page pictures. In my Appearance>Tempera setting>Presentation Page, there are Colum Content, Column per row, Image size and Read more text Options only. There are no option for me to change the pictures there.
I tried adding widgets from to the Presentation Page Columns, but obviously that the image widget didn’t work (the widgets were stacked on top of each other rather than in their own columns).

As a stop-gap, I’ve unhidden the nivo slider (client expressly does NOT want a slider) and inserted just the one image (with no link). This is…..alright, except that I haven’t figured out the correct CSS for hiding the back/next navigation buttons that appear over the slide or the slide indicator graphic immediately beneath it.

If I could hide those elements, this would be an acceptable solution. But I’d still prefer to use the Top Title field with html characters or images.

Please, can anyone help with this?

I am having the same problem with Publicize of Jetpack. It looks like there is a conglict with Mantra, Firefox and Jetpack.
Everything works fine with Chrome and IE.
Somebody knows the solution?

Looks like the default is
#header-widget-area {width:50%; right:0px}

If you need to find the CSS code (class or ID) the best way to do this is in your browser: right click the item in question (ie the search box), select “Inspect Element” and there you will see the CSS code for the element, you can even edit the CSS right there and then in the browser to see what effects the changes have, and see which one does what you need, then make the required modifications in your own CSS.

I have just completed a project for a client using Tempura. When I moved it to the client’s server, all Tempura settings reverted to default. Another half day’s work to reset them all, and client is upset that his site has “disappeared”. I downloaded settings but upload doesn’t work.

I’ve been having the same problem for a while now. After seeing this post, I tried to check the settings in Settings/Reading and it was set to the root of my home page. I tried to eliminate it. It wouldn’t let me. So, I set it back exactly as it was. Now, I can’t login at all. This is all after updating everything, hoping the update would take care of the problem. Now, I can’t even login and I keep getting ‘page does not exist errors’ when I try to reset my password or go to any of the pages. I can’t get in to check or modify ANYTHING now. Please help. What are you trying to get them to follow? You on twitter? There is no “follow system” on a theme.

Remember, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink it. (ie: You can get people to visit your site, but they aren’t going to “follow” you if they don’t want to)
