I tried this and it just gives me 404 page not found. Any tips on why this is happening?
Thanks!May 24th, 2014 at 09:34 #25541In reply to: Reduce Width of Search Box in Header Widget?

Looks like the default is
#header-widget-area {width:50%; right:0px}If you need to find the CSS code (class or ID) the best way to do this is in your browser: right click the item in question (ie the search box), select “Inspect Element” and there you will see the CSS code for the element, you can even edit the CSS right there and then in the browser to see what effects the changes have, and see which one does what you need, then make the required modifications in your own CSS.

I have just completed a project for a client using Tempura. When I moved it to the client’s server, all Tempura settings reverted to default. Another half day’s work to reset them all, and client is upset that his site has “disappeared”. I downloaded settings but upload doesn’t work.

I’ve been having the same problem for a while now. After seeing this post, I tried to check the settings in Settings/Reading and it was set to the root of my home page. I tried to eliminate it. It wouldn’t let me. So, I set it back exactly as it was. Now, I can’t login at all. This is all after updating everything, hoping the update would take care of the problem. Now, I can’t even login and I keep getting ‘page does not exist errors’ when I try to reset my password or go to any of the pages. I can’t get in to check or modify ANYTHING now. Please help. Thank you.

What are you trying to get them to follow? You on twitter? There is no “follow system” on a theme.
Remember, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink it. (ie: You can get people to visit your site, but they aren’t going to “follow” you if they don’t want to)

Any guesses or suggestions? I’ve viewed several other sites using Tempura and they are displaying normally in Safari so I am guessing it is a setting??

You’re wasting your time. It’s not going to provide any more extra security than taking the Chevy emblem off of your car is going to deter car thieves.
Plus, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the theme and you should probably update to the latest version of WP.

Hello,
I was using Cork Beta theme and decided to change it to Tempera. When enabling the presentation page, it did not allow me to remove and/or change the Template text which is the following:
“Tempera is living on the edge, waiting for you to come and give it a push!. Above and below the columns you have editable titles and text fields. The text fields suppport HTML tags and [shortcodes] so you can turn the Presentation Page into your personal playground. You can add, remove and edit all this and much more from the Tempera Settings page.
While you can show your latest posts on the Presentation Page, you can also use the Blog page template to designate another page as your primary blog posts page.
As you can see, with Tempera the sky’s the limit. Just remember to have fun!”Could you please tell me how to remove and/or change it?
Thanks.

What? Server error? I don´t se any problems at all, neither on the posts or pages. Was this when you entered the page or when you clicked on something? The problem does still exist unfortunately, I tried uploading an image from my computer but it just said “An error occured in the upload. Please try again later”. It could be a server problem absolutely but I´m not sure. It has been working since I started the page some month ago, this problem occured a few days ago and I can´t understand if it is Server-related or Client-related.
Any suggestions?

Being that I see this on your site right now, it may be server related:

We’re very sorry, but the page could not be loaded properly. This should be fixed very soon, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Great theme, but this bug does seem to persist. I have played with some setting that seem to affect this bug, but no real fix. The “More Posts” button at the bottom of the presentation page seems to either not load more posts, or keep loading the same posts. I have tried the setup with a static page setting and a recent posts setting in the Settings-Reading section of dashboard. Any fixes? You can see it at the bottom of http://204trips.com

That should read that the text is properly wrapped in HTML “strong” tags, but my attempt to use html entities was converted 🙂

Kathleen Clohessy
Thanks for the suggestion, Walt, but the issue is that I would like to hide it in some posts but not all of them. The problem lies in the fact that Cryout Creations, despite doing a really great job on this theme, put a right sidebar in the post template by default, so there is no way to hide it except through the layout options, as you say. This is a problem that should be rectified, but I fear that CC’s developers are not monitoring this forum or paying attention to feedback from anyone who hasn’t paid the $25 for “Premium Support”. That’s unfortunate, especially since I would happily pay the $25 if they didn’t claim the fall-back position that they won’t help with any coding because that’s “Custom Work.” Really? Why would I pay $25.00 just to learn what I can learn here?
I guess the best option for now is to use a plugin and design a simple default sidebar that I can use on all my posts unless I want to specify something else. Meanwhile, I hope that Cryout will fix this issue in new versions..it should be very easy to do.

Experiencing something similar. I would like to create some pages with two columns…text in one column, images + some text in the other column. Mantra appears to ignore the page attribute “Two columns, Sidebar on Left”.
Any ideas? Much appreciated.May 2nd, 2014 at 17:49 #25077In reply to: Slider -more slides- ?

Thanks,
I am just interesting to know if the theme can be modified easily to set more than 5 custom sides (why this limitation in such cool theme?)
In this way no post must be created….
might be better ?

Supplementary information:
Seems as if a lot of people struggle with this problem (see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-nav-menu-dissapears-in-category-pages-1?replies=21).
However, none of them are using the function cryout_main_hook() to create the menu. Does anyone have an idea as how to incorporate the solutions mentioned in the link into the cryout_main_hook() function?
Regards,
Nyborg

May 1st, 2014 at 14:35 #25062Walt
Just tried it on one of my Tempera sites and it didn’t work either. That’s odd that they allow it in Parabola but not in Tempera…
The setting that controls those buttons is under Color Settings –> Main Menu –> The first color after Menu. It will however change the color of your navigation bar as well, so it does not strictly control just the Continue Reading box.
Thank you for the info on the magazine layout too! 🙂

You’re not providing enough information with what you’re trying to do… What do you mean by “control?” What are you trying to control?
Question: On your Zombie Apocalypse merch, what’s with the “Are your ready?” “Your” is completely the wrong word for what you’re trying to say, unless you’re trying to promote a bad internet meme or you want people to know you’re an Asian distributor that can’t spell…

Thanks, Yes, I tried that and also ALT 0174.
Both the methods work in a few places, but in most places, the R does not superscript, but shows
up same as text size and middle aligned. Headings and Navigation areas notably.April 28th, 2014 at 07:26 #25032In reply to: Save settings fails after moving WordPress
