Wow, I guess this forum isn’t very active. Anyway I finally figured out how to remove the items from the footer. Simply paste the following code into Nirvana’s Custom CSS Field (under “Miscellaneous Settings”). Be sure to save once you put it in there. Hope this helps someone down the road.

I love this theme because it offers so much flexibility for those like me with no PHP skills. I also like the way the menus rollup and display on the smartphone.
I have a problem with the header widget. It works OK on my PC but not on my Samsung S5 smartphone.
The header widget goes to the left and overlays the company name on the smartphone.
Other widgets are OK.Perhaps the problem relates to Zed’s previous post but I not even know what W3 cache is,
I also found that when I created a CHILD, my widgets were wiped out, This was easy to recreate my widgets.February 17th, 2015 at 10:26 #30599In reply to: How to create a blog page collecting posts?
Tina
Hi Ana-Maria
Many thanks for your support. Unfortunately though your proposal did not work or I am understanding you completely wrong. When I do what you proposed nothing changes:
The posts still do not show up one on top of the other in “unser VIP Blog” … there are always 2 posts next to each other.
Also the posts lose all what I do to text like bold, underline, inverse etc. and the picture is very small, I want it to be displayed as large though as I configured it.Maybe I did not say clearly enough what I want and what my page is all about:
– It is a business page, so the präsentationpage is needed as well as the START/home-page which is to be static (isn’t it normally so that Start/home is static?).
– In addition to the business details I want one page which is called “unser VIP blog”.
– This “unser VIP Blog” is to carry/collect all posts I issue regarding this topic (only of this one category!), so it is of course to appear as an extra page and cannot be removed from the menue (I do not understand your proposal to do that). But it is not an important or main page, it is only to keep the crawler busy with it, if I can say so, as all other business pages will hardly be changed in future.
– “Unser VIP Blog” shall look “nice” that is all posts should of course have all the formating features such as bold, underline, all pictures in original size etc.
I looked at the archive.php but could not find anything I could change regarding the look of the content of the archive (not that I know a big thing about this 🙂 ).
Or am I understanding you completely wrong?
At the moment the “unser VIP Blog” is an archive page. Should I change that? But if so, I tried it, ALL posts (also the ones with job opening and all others will appear on that page. This is not what I want! I only want the posts of the category “unser VIP Blog” to appear on the “unser VIP Blog” page!I think the category-page was correct, only I need to change the settings of the look of the posts collected in the category page.
Do you have any idea how to achieve that?Thanks.

Hi,
I’m a big fan of the theme. It looks exactly how I wanted and is easy to customize and use. I am having a problem with the theme’s responsiveness on mobile devices. The theme looks awesome and the right sidebar displays exactly what I want it to. On my tablet (a Nexus 7) it displays properly in landscape mode, but not in portrait. In portrait the right sidebar’s content is pushed to the bottom of the page displaying above the footer. On my android phone, it won’t display at all, again pushing the content of the right sidebar above the footer. I have tried changing the dimensions of the main content, and the right sidebar but this still happens. Is there a setting I am neglecting? I am sure there is something I am not doing correctly, but I can’t figure it out. Any help is much appreciated.

Cryout Creations mastermindWhat resolution is that 13″ display using?
If it’s under 1080px wide, the theme treats it as a mobile device (tablet) and columns re-arrange themselves.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Cryout Creations mastermindThe More Posts button functionality fails to load the right posts if the number of posts set per page in WordPress is different than the number of posts to display on the presentation page set in the theme’s settings.
We’ll get this fixed.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindThe “Show more posts” button currently works correctly only if the number set in WordPress for posts to display per page is the same number set in the theme for posts to display on the presentation page.
Otherwise the posts displayed will repeat/skip some.
Some things are not as easy to solve as others, but this will eventually be addressed as well.

Hi Anna,
Thank you for your reply, I tried all that but in no vein. Well someone told me something that I didn’t understand, he said:
Here is the body tag from the home page:<body class=”home blog custom-background tempera-image-four caption-dark magazine-layout presentation-page coldisplay0″>
Here is the body tag from the application page:
<body class=”page page-id-8 page-template-default custom-background siteorigin-panels tempera-image-four caption-dark”>It looks like that home page is using a different page template than the other pages.
Does this sound familiar with anyone?
Please help since I’ve had this issue for so long that is frustrating me.

Unfortunately tempera does not support project types to be displayed in the nice front page slider.It would be nice to see portfolio projects supported in tempera sometime.

January 23rd, 2015 at 12:49 #29241In reply to: add project tags to project page – jetpack portfolio
Ed Wain
Hey, I don’t know if you ever got an answer to this, but I think this is the same problem I just ran into. I wanted to call in the project type as if it were a category, but the “get_the_categories” function didn’t work on the custom taxonomy. I posted my question, and subsequent answer, here on Stack Overflow, but basically, there is a function called “the_terms” which can call in custom taxonomies, such as the project type and project tags. It requires two parameters: ID, and taxonomy name.
<?php the_terms( $id, $taxonomy ); ?>
You can find the taxonomy names here, on the Github repo, right at the top, where it says:
const CUSTOM_TAXONOMY_TYPE = 'jetpack-portfolio-type'; const CUSTOM_TAXONOMY_TAG = 'jetpack-portfolio-tag';
so the code you want should be something like:
<?php the_terms($post->ID, 'jetpack-portfolio-type' <?php the_terms($post->ID, 'jetpack-portfolio-tag'
This should call the project type and the project tags, respectively. You will probably want to put this code in a “single-jetpack-portfolio.php” file, so that it only calls it on project pages, but you could instead just use conditional code (if else) in the “single.php” file.
This advice is coming from a beginner, so if it doesn’t work, hopefully it at least points you in the right direction.

I also have this problem, and have it set up as a child/parent theme on the site we use it on if that helps any with the debugging.
whether I set it to 2 or 4 posts per page, with 2 in each row, pressing More Posts results in the same set of posts being re-displayed below.
Temporarily I’ve used css to hide the More Posts button but would like to know how to fix this.

I did it by typing this in the Custom CSS
The 1px leaves just a fine line, you can type 0px for no space at all./* Tempera Custom CSS */
#access {
display: block;
float: left;
margin: 1px auto 0;
width:100%;
}#main {
clear: both;
padding: 0px;
margin-top: 1px;

Ok.
So for all the others out there that need to know how to solve this.
I will tell you how to solve this because sure as ____ you won’t get help from anyone else on here!!
Ok, so if you got as far as an active page displaying in one column.
You are just shy of finishing the race.
The fix is such an easy fix!Just to be certain…..
You should already have a template-custompost.php, a content-custompost.php and a single-custompost.php.The last step to make this work is the word post!!
In template-custompost.php
Look for this line and insert ‘post’ within the empty brackets following get_post_formatget_template_part( ‘content/content-custompost’, get_post_format(‘post’) );
In content-custompost.php
Look for this line and insert ‘post’ within the empty brackets following post_class<article id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” <?php post_class( ‘post’); ?>>
and In single-custompost.php
(not sure if this one is necessary but it didn’t adversely affect my single post display so it’s in there)
Look for this line and insert ‘post’ within the empty brackets following post_class<div id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” <?php post_class( ‘post’); ?>>
VOILA!!
Custom Posts now display exactly as wp posts only on a different page and never the twain shall meet!
🙂
No thanks to anyone here!
Best of luck and customizing to everyone else.

Had this same problem after upgrading to wordpress 4.1 and nirvana1.0.3.
I could still export and import the settings just fine, so I ran the export thru a json parser and noticed in the export file the key “nirvana_socialsdisplay[0-x]” had string values in some fields and numeric in others.
I fixed it by searching for all the occurences of “nirvana_socialsdisplay[x]”:1, and replacing with nirvana_”socialsdisplay[X]”:”1″ (I enclosed the 1’s in quotes). I then reimported the settings file and everything started working again fine.

I understand this has something to do with float and that it is not applying to my custom post types for some reason. I assume this is because posts are renamed at somepoint in the tempera code but I can not find the location to add my custom post type to whatever loop has been engineered here. If anyone has some ideas on a quick work around to get the float to apply it would really make my day!!
I have changed my page template, it now is a direct reflection of the blog template, minus the get_option and $paged which seems to draw out the regular posts and none of the custom posts.
Here is my current page template.
<?php /*
Template Name: Boat Show
*/ ?>
<?php get_header(); ?>
<section id=”container” class=”<?php echo tempera_get_layout_class(); ?>”>
<div id=”content” role=”main”>
<?php cryout_before_content_hook(); ?>
<div class=”container”>
<?php
$paged = (get_query_var(‘paged’)) ? get_query_var(‘paged’) : 1;
$the_query = new WP_Query( array( ‘post_type’ => ‘bs_posts’) );?>
<?php if ( $the_query->have_posts() ) :
/* Start the Loop */
while ( $the_query->have_posts() ) : $the_query->the_post();
global $more; $more=0;
get_template_part( ‘content/content’, get_post_format() );
endwhile;
if($tempera_pagination==”Enable”) tempera_pagination($the_query->max_num_pages); else tempera_content_nav( ‘nav-below’ );
else : ?>
</div><!–container –>
<article id=”post-0″ class=”post no-results not-found”>
<header class=”entry-header”>
<h1 class=”entry-title”><?php _e( ‘Nothing Found’, ‘tempera’ ); ?></h1>
</header><!– .entry-header –>
<div class=”entry-content”>
<p><?php _e( ‘Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.’, ‘tempera’ ); ?></p>
<?php get_search_form(); ?>
</div><!– .entry-content –>
</article><!– #post-0 –>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php cryout_after_content_hook(); ?>
</div><!– #content –>
<?php tempera_get_sidebar(); ?>
</section><!– #container –>
<?php get_footer(); ?>
I have tried putting div class containers around code. Because I see the post meta is spanning the page and perhaps because this is not in the container is why the float is not working properly.
Obviously this did not work.
Can anyone PLEASE suggest a work around to get the float to work properly and the posts to display 2 across as they should.
Please.January 4th, 2015 at 02:50 #28940In reply to: Cryout columns animation not working

Cryout Creations mastermindThe column titles and texts moving under the images is part of the responsiveness functionality. The columns rearrange themselves on smaller displays as they are considered mobile devices, and mobile devices don’t support hovering.

So then go tell the makers of this header widget that you use that it’s messing up the theme. I would wager poor coding on the widgets part rather than poor coding on the theme.
The makers of this theme are not responsible for side effects cause by other plugins.
Or, this is a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll long shot since it contains too much common sense for one thread… Put the social media icons in one of the 5 other areas they have to display.
