Tempera no longer applying color settings

    Hi,

Today I changed a text setting on the Tempera Settings page and then saved the settings. After this I noticed that my website looked completely different. After some research, it seemed that it were only color settings that had changed, and mostly to browser defaults. I then noticed that none of the colors in the Tempera style tags rendered in the page had the required # prefix, so the stylesheet said FFFFFF instead of #FFFFFF for instance.

I went back to the settings page, but no matter what I tried (selecting all the colors again, then saving again, trying the same in different browsers, etc.) nothing worked. I finally got the idea of working around this problem by using the export function, then manually adding all the hashtags in the resulting download, and then importing it again. This is a workaround, but it means the only way now to change any Tempera setting is by downloading, editing and uploading the settings.

I spent quite some hours trying to fix my website (and running around panicking ;-)), so I hope you’ve got an idea what the problem is (my guess would be some update in the color picker?) and are able to provide a brilliant solution in order to avoid these issues in the future.

    Thanks,
    Jaap

Oh, I just realized something that might help. The color pickers on the settings page do display some weird behavior. Whenever I click a color, 2 different and overlapping pickers appear.

That’s because a plugin is loading its code where it shouldn’t.
Cycle your active plugins on/off until you find the one which does this and keep it disabled while you’re editing theme settings to avoid losing colours.

If you save while the issue is solved, Tempera will automatically add all the #s back so your colours should return to normal without you having to manually enter it everywhere.

We have better plugin collision handling functionality prepared for an upcoming update which should avoid this kind of issue in the future.
