The theme’s extra text areas support basic HTML and shortcodes. If you place advanced HTML in there it will get filtered by WordPress’ sanitization filters.

Use a widget as shortcode plugin to place your code in a Text widget and then that widget in the text area via a shortcode.

1. The HTML excerpts are an experimental feature and shouldn’t be enabled unless you’re in control of your post excerpts and know how to solve any possible issues.

2. Featured image size is configured in theme settings (under Featured Image Settings). You will need to regenerate thumbnails if you change those values for existing posts to appear correctly.

Beside WordPress’ own sizes (large, medium and thumbnail) and the original, the theme adds 3 extra image sizes (featured image – as configured in the settings, slider, and header) to create crops for.
These get used on certain theme configurations (if you use posts to generate your slider or enable using the featured image in the header).

@Eriq, the theme does not use RevSlider, the theme is not bundled with RevSlider and it is not really the theme’s task to support (?) RevSlider. How and where you decide to include a slider in your site content is up to you (not the theme).

If you want to display content before the page itself that spans the full with of the content area plus sidebar, you can place widgets in the Above Content Widget Area.

Modifying theme files is not recommended as you will lose any changes on the next update (this could also be what happened when you updated before and lost the slider).

@Kent, that change is explained in the Tempera 1.4(.0.1) sticky post in the forum.

Try switching to one of the default Twenty themes and test if the menu works correctly.

From what you’re describing sounds like your permalink settings are invalid. Enter WordPress’ permalink settings page and re-save the options (look at the top of the page after the save for any possible error messages).

Jens, is the plugin installed and active? What does it say on its about page (Appearance > Cryout Serious Theme Settings)?

What does the theme’s settings page (Appearance > Mantra Settings) display? Could you test with a different browser (to rule out caching issues)?

Javascript (and complex HTML code like, for example, frames) cannot be placed in any of the theme’s input/textarea fields as it will be filtered out by WordPress’ content sanitization filters.

As such, that code cannot be placed in the slider without editing theme files.

The theme’s demo page has the theme’s presentation page feature enable.

We’ve had to disable it by default in new theme installs since it cannot be configured until you also install the theme settings plugin (which we now provide to restore the theme’s settings page that WordPress guidelines had us remove).

The presentation page can be re-enabled from the theme’s settings under Appearance > Nirvana Settings after the plugin installation and its content can be customized in the same place.

The columns have a specific design and layout. Radically changing that will be tricky due to the large amount of styling used (and various places it comes from – style, style-mobile and generated one).

Nirvana does not use the customizer interface. You will find Nirvana’s settings under Appearance > Nirvana Settings (after installing the settings plugin).

The Heading Font option under Text Settings controls all the headings (H1-H6). To style a specific heading separately you’d need custom styling:
