I want to do two things with this theme that it seems capable of doing, but it isn’t working.

1. When I pick my static page and my post page – my site won’t load. So, I am being forced to have my home page be my recent posts.

2. When I create padding on the left/right of the post and sidebar content above 200px – none of the content is visible on a mobile device. So I am forced to have a wider blog than I want because I’ve made my header wide screen.

Are there any fixes to these issues?

If u can use css fluida has custom css section. U can change content width in % to get the similar efects, and it will display nice on mobile too and it works for me. Or u can use media query for mobile and set padding to whatever u like.

@kaymbutler please update the theme to the latest version and check if you’re still having issues related to the homepage.

Zed, I’ve done that and tried setting a static page but it won’t work. Once I make the change, my site doesn’t load.
