For mobile responsiveness combined with bbPress and BuddyPress out of the box, Sequel has consistently been the most solid option in my experience. It handles forum layouts cleanly on small screens without the typical bbPress table overflow issues you get with most themes, and the BuddyPress profile/activity stream templates adapt well without needing extra CSS overrides.
Soledad is another strong contender if you want more magazine style flexibility alongside the community features — mobile menu collapses cleanly and the BuddyPress integration is solid, though it requires slightly more setup to get bbPress looking polished compared to Sequel.
If your community site leans more educational or resource based, worth noting that Cryout themes pair well with embedded tools too — for example education focused communities sometimes embed external calculators or reference tools directly into BuddyPress activity posts or bbPress threads.
