Text Area in Slider (presentation page)

    This is less of a “bug” and more of an “annoyance”, but it seems that every so often, a theme update will change the height of the shaded text area at the bottom of the slider; usually increasing its size slightly. I have created many images that I use for the slider, and I format them so no important area (usually text, etc.) of my images gets shaded out, but every time the area changes size, I have to modify my images to accommodate this.

    Is there a way to modify the text area size instead?

    We’ve only changed default sizes in Parabola in the 2.0 visual appearance update.

    You can reduce the slider caption with custom styling:

    body .nivo-caption { padding-top: 1em; padding-bottom: 1em; }
    body .nivo-caption h3 { margin-bottom: 0; }

    That bit of code works just great! Exactly what I was looking for; a way to customize the sise of that text area of the slider. Thanks so much.
