When selecting the Mail icon to be displayed, the theme adds http:// in front of the email address entered in the field after saving.

I want to reopen this bug report.  It has been fixed in 2.0.1 to put in “mailto:” but now, every time you click the save button, it keeps adding a “mailto:”  regardless if the “mailto:” is already there.  Since I have been working on my presentation page and clicking the save button several times, I now have 8 “mailto:” in front of my email address.  So for the meantime I have just removed that social media icon to avoid having to delete all the “mailto:” in the field.

I am trying to input my email address in the email social media link however it does not work. it either inputs as mailto:email address or mailto:http://email address. How can this be fixed?

That’s the correct syntax for an email address link: mailto:email@domain.tld
