    Hello there,

according to this article: https://thehackernews.com/2022/01/german-court-rules-websites-embedding.html describing a court sentence in germany, it is not legal to implement Google Fonts according to GDPR regulations anymore.

Can we get a possibilty of downloading fonts from Google Font within the Nirvana-Settings and then use them locally? This would make using Google Font legally possible for german users again maintaining the ease of use from within the theme settings.

    Cheers
    Andre

    Hi,

The theme uses Google Fonts when configured to do that – by using the dedicated Google font identifier fields in the options. If you leave the identifier fields empty and select any of the fonts from the preset fonts list, those rely solely on browser/operating system support.

It is not currently possible to set custom font names through Nirvana’s options (to apply manually embedded fonts, for example) – but we’ll try to add this in a future update.
