Main menu in header obscuring post titles

Hi, I’m experiencing a problem on my website stuffwithwords.com.

I changed one of the page titles that appears in the main menu, and as it is slightly longer now the menu doesn’t fit on the same line as the logo. It’s now displaying with the logo in the top left corner and the menu below it. This in itself isn’t a problem (although I would prefer to have the logo centered), however when I view a blog post, the menu is obscuring the title.

I have tried loading the logo as a header image instead but can’t get it to display in the same way. Could you look into this please?

For now I am going to revert to the original page title so that readers can view post titles. I can change it back to replicate the problem if needed. By the way, I also tried to change the way the page title appears in the menu (to shorten it), but can’t seem to change it.

    Thanks,
    Amanda

Update: I have found a way to edit the menu name so it is shorter but the page retains its full name. This has solved the problem for now, but if I add anything else to the menu, it will jump down onto another line again.
