With the Featured Boxes on the landing page, is there any way to configure it to auto select a featured images from post content?

I’ve been trying to wok out why some are not showing images, and it only appears to show them it they are specifically set as a featured image.

Post Information -> Featured Image -> Auto Select Image From Content

Works fine for posts, but I can’t see an equivalent for Featured boxes?

The featured boxes require featured images set for these to be displayed.
