I can’t seem to get recent blog posts to appear as just excerpts on my home page. Older ones are fine, but new ones show up full and with a grey background, even with excerpt option checked off.

I had to replace some images in my media library and reattach them. The posts that are image posts are the issue. The gallery ones excerpt fine.

I have the Rosetta theme and use Elementor for editing.

Thoughts, options and solutions all welcome!

Posts using post formats are special purpose and are always displayed in full (same as sticky posts).
