I am using comment moderation on my blog. After a comment is submitted there isn’t any confirmation message to the user to let them know that their comment has been submitted and/or that it is awaiting moderation. There’s no message of any kind letting the user know what has happened. Is this the way it supposed to work, or is something malfunctioning? Is there a way to display a message letting the user know that their comment has been received?

The comments functionality is a core WordPress feature and not handled by the theme. It can also be overriden by plugins (which may or may not work correctly).
