I switched over to Parabola and am extremely happy with everything. The theme I used previously (for over 2 years) was called atahualpa and it allowed me to create menu tabs for both the pages and the categories. It was very helpful. Is there any way to do the same with Parabola? Thank you for any thoughts in advance.

Custom menus should be the solution (Appearance > Menus).

Thank you… do not know how I overlooked that. I have seen it a million times, but simply forgot, as I usually use the modifications settings from the theme menu.
