Power UserDear Zed, someone
I’m using nirvana and am happy. Also, I found here that I could (and have been) use qtranslate for my multilingual website.
Recently, I’ve installed yoast and started looking into it.Now, I’m faced with the following problem: I can’t translate meta title and description fields. I’ve looked into qtranslate and to yoast and they’re presenting some sort of fix (integration and or fix) solution. I tried installing the fix but noticed no differences and entering the code yoast provided in functions.php led to an error. Later, I tried entering the some code in nirvana child theme but, once again, ended noticing no differences.
This is something indirectly connected to nirvana but, anyways, I was hoping for someone to provide me a clue on how my original problem: how do I translate meta title and description fields? Do I have to start thinking about a change form qtranslate or Yoast (and no, I’m not considering leaving Nirvana)?

After disabling and enabling the “qTranslate-X” and “Integration: Yoast SEO & qTranslate-X” plugins and saving permalinks, the edit metadata options in yoast are now available in my website.
Seems like the “turn it off and on again” computer engineer joke still applies. -
