Cryout Creations mastermindRestore the modified file with a working copy from the theme archive.
You might have made an error in the code changing that string with one including the apostrophe (which is also a special string delimiter in PHP).The safer way would be to customize that text using theme translations (we have two tutorials about creating theme translations).

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindThe reported issue should only happen when saving settings in the theme’s settings page. It cannot occur while adding pages or modifying page text as those do not interact in any way with theme settings.
This settings page issue is almost always caused by a poorly written plugin which loads its code all over the dashboard, including the theme’s settings page.
Disable all your plugins one by one until this behaviour stops. After you figure out which plugin is the culprit and you disable it, re-enter theme settings and save. This will restore the colour fields’ missing # signs and your site should return to normal.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindWordpress associates post inserted images with the specific posts in its database.
The theme uses that WordPress functionality that relies on that association to retrieve the first post image to use as featured.Depending on your (or plugin’s or program’s) mass-post insertion methodology, these associations may not be created, so the theme has no information to use to retrieve featured images.

The same here.
If I try to enlarge the browser window,
there are some window size with the “read more” (and sometimes even the text) hidden.
I’ve tried to decrease “title font size” in the slider settings, with no resultsMay 26th, 2015 at 22:28 #31955In reply to: Mobile Grader – my website did not pass through
Kevin
Hello Pavel,
I see this is an old post but I just wanted to input in case anyone else find this that every time I use MobileGrader it tells me it can’t find my Mobile Site. This is something on their end that is looking for a script to automatically send mobile users to the mobile version. With the new responsive templates rolling out, that script is no longer needed. Test your site using a few other mobile graders & see what they find. I use probably 5 different sites a day to see my site’s mobile-friendliness from all viewpoints. Good luck.
PS: If you want to test against a site just going mobile, use mines.

May 20th, 2015 at 23:17 #31898In reply to: Shortcodes showing as text after update
Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindHi and sorry for being late to announce this.
Shortcodes have long been denied from being included in themes, but we’ve managed to get away with it until now because we’ve had them in the theme since before this rule was implemented (and also did not update Mantra for a couple of months).
Unfortunately, we’ve had to remove the shortcodes for this new update to be accepted (which we wanted to release to fix outstanding issues before the Customizer rule will also become enforced).
However, we’ve moved shortcodes functionality in a separate plugin, which is found here

Same problem here.
Short term revert back to the earlier version. Long term if they do not add feature back into theme use plug in (WP easy column). I use it with a different theme and it works the same way. It would be nice if they would respond so we know how to proceed.May 20th, 2015 at 13:44 #31877In reply to: Shortcodes showing as text after update

Hello,
Simply via FTP, delete the folder “mantra” in the templates folder and replace the zip file unzipped.

I also have the same problem and my client is wondering what’s going on. I had to go back.
Even creating a thême “daughter” I can not put my columns other than moving back and blocking the updateMay 18th, 2015 at 15:57 #31857In reply to: header widget is not responsive
Wayfarer
I had the same issue with the search bar obscuring the logo etc on mobile devices, and was happy that the CSS seemed to resolve the issue.
However, in landscape the search widget width displays correctly (I have the maximum header widget width set to 25%). In portrait, the search widget forms its own line and extends the length of the header.
It’s far better than it was, so I just wanted to give the feedback.
Thanks for the code Zed!
(As an aside, I really struggle to post to the forums. I often have to submit my posts multiple times, sometimes get a ‘whoops, duplicate entry’ message (even though my post isn’t visible). I’ve always just lived with it but today and yesterday I’m experiencing that even getting through this and seeing my post in the replies list above the jump, the post ‘vanishes’ later. I don’t know if it will reappear hehe.)

Hi Nick,
AFAIK, related posts is a feature in the Jetpack plugin, unrelated (pun unintended) to Nirvana. Have you tried disabling it in Jetpack Settings in case you use this plugin?
Cheers,
MikeMay 14th, 2015 at 12:02 #31827In reply to: Problem in Presentation Page
Anish
In the settings > reading, I have put up to 10 posts per page.
In the tempera settings > Presentation page > presentation page columns, I have put number of posts to show as 8 and columns per row as 2.
Instead of 8 posts, it always shows only 7 posts. When a new post is posted (with featured image), still it would show only 7 ones. Is it a bug or am I missing any setting?
By the way, thanks a lot for the theme (I have browsed and tried hundreds of themes, this is the best one available for a static website).

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindWe could also say the problem may be caused by your administrator/host.
Who could be more likely to provide false information here? Them, whom you pay and have an interest in keeping you as a client or us, who have just met you now (merely as a nickname) after you wrote this post…Did they provide you with access logs to investigate who/what/when accessed your WordPress dashboard?
Possible causes are that you could have used an easy to guess username/password combination and a bot may have scanned and discovered your login; you could have used a vulnerable piece of code, or an infected computer/device. Or indeed a third party (with enough access) may have done this.
There are a lot of possible paths leading to the same result, all worth investigating. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Cryout Creations mastermindThe reset button will reset all values on the theme’s settings page to their defaults.
This includes presentation page (slider/columns) content.Posts/pages/categories/menus/widgets are WordPress content and are not touched by this.

Cryout Creations mastermindUnfortunately, bbPress’ replies inherit a lot of theme styling that is meant for the comment replies (because they use the same classnames).
This custom CSS should fix most of that:
.bbp-reply-author a { background: transparent; border: inherit; display: inline; float: initial; margin: inherit; padding: inherit; text-transform: inherit; }If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

May 5th, 2015 at 12:23 #31712In reply to: I would like to donate … help
MikevZ
You need to donate $25 via the Donate-button at the top right or this link. After your donation, you fill in this Premium Support form. Make sure you include your PayPal transaction number in the designated field. Usually within 24 hours you receive instructions how to permanently remove the copyright footer. It’s done by a child theme to ensure it stays removed also after version updates.
Must admit I was a bit wary since the awesome developer don’t reply much here in the forums, but their Premium Support is solid with quick replies.
Good luck and welcome to the club of financial backers 😉

Hi
when you change any part in the theme, ( presentation ) then you press save changes, and next is to refresh your browser. sometimes it takes a second refresh before updated version shows. ( I thought I had the same problem, but once you refresh the preview page couple of times it kicks in…)
I hope this info will help you out.Best regards

Have you tried the embed code.?\
Go on the share button on you tube, go to the next tab that says “embed”,copy the text and paste on the editor of the page you want the video to be shownMay 1st, 2015 at 22:21 #31674In reply to: Custom css

I haven’t tried this in word press yet, but the usual way is:
h3 {
color: “yourcolorhere”;
}But I’ve found that with the templates it can sometimes override your custom CSS.
April 29th, 2015 at 22:18 #31653In reply to: Change header Image on secondary pages
Melissa
I tried to change the “Featured Image” on one page so that I can get the look of more than one website under my domain name. Anyway, I followed the directions above, but although the edit page shows the new picture, the published page does not. The header on the main page still shows on the page I want to change.
Any suggestions?
April 27th, 2015 at 08:56 #31165In reply to: Category selected on presentation page
Christoph Werner
There is no problem to show the content of an individual category on the presentation page.
What I miss is to show content that came from more than one category.
Imagine you have three categories, but you want show only contents of two of them and not of all or one only. This is currently impossible.
