That code will not work in the theme’s Custom JS field (at least not in its current form).
As it is meant to display content, you need to place it in a content area – like a Text widget.

However, the menu is designed to be as light as possible (in browser resource usage) and as such it has almost no scripting applied to it.To avoid submenus appearing offscreen I can only suggest to either rearrange your submenus or try to keep the submenu labels length at a minimum.

You can set a particular image in the header for individual pages by setting those images as featured images on the header and enabling the “Featured image as header image” option in the the theme’s settings.

It pretty much depends on how the plugin handles (overrides) the frontend display functionality for the featured images.

Fluida also has an option to use images from inside posts as featured images when the featured one is not set – disable this option when you don’t want the theme to behave this way.
