Opacity for content/widget bg 2017

Just updated my WordPress and Parabola theme. In doing so, it seems to no longer allow for RGBA values in the theme settings page. Here’s the thread where we figured out how to do it last time:

Now all RGBA values entered in settings panel result in complete transparency for that element.

Any idea on how to fix this and/or a workaround to create semi-transparent backgrounds for content areas and widgets?

    Thx.

The color options now sanitize the entered values as hexadecimal numbers (#abcdef). This was done in recent updates to resolve a lot of plugins interference with the theme’s color options.
