I am using a widget sidebar position for the main menu, but the same menu is still appearing in the main menu position

How can i hide it?

Use the menus administration screen in the dashboard to assign menus to the desired locations.
If the main navigation location is empty, the theme will display the default pages list menu – create and assign an empty menu in that location to disable it.
