There is an option to add sidebars to regular Pages but none for Post Pages.  How can I add sidebars to my Post Pages?  Your help is appreciated.

Depends on what you understand by “post pages”. See this for a clarification.
The *page templates* are for pages only. You can set the default theme style to be with a sidebar and then use the no sidebar template for pages you don’t want to have the sidebar on. That way all your “category/list-of-posts pages” will have a sidebar.
