Google Font Not Working on Mobile

    Hi guys,

I am using the Nirvana theme on WordPress for a website for my Scout group, http://www.37thwolverhamptonseascouts.co.uk

The font we should be using according to our branding guidelines is Nunito Sans, from Google.

On the Nirvana theme menu I’ve changed the fonts to Nunito Sans. This is working absolutely fine on desktop but on mobile (Safari) it shows up as a serif font.

I have been instructed to put <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Nunito+Sans:400,700,900”> into the header. However, this does not make any difference.

Does anyone know how I can get this Google font to work on mobile, or at least to display a friendly sans-serif font rather than the one it’s been replaced with?

Hope that all makes sense. TIA

Check that you’re using the proper capitalization for the font name. The Google Fonts system is case sensitive.

You’ll also need to fix the incorrect font enqueue in the source of the page, that is breaking the markup.

    Hi

Thank you for your help, I’ll have a look at the capitalisation. Could you give me more info about what to do about the font enqueue please?

    Many thanks.

The capitalisation has fixed it, thank you!

Is the outlined code (font enqueue) intended to be there?

Not sure – I’ll delete it if you think it’s not. Seems to be working now though. Bit of a novice!
