I attempted to embed a HubSpot Contact form in the Text Area 3 of the Nirvana Theme.

But only the code of the link is being displayed and not the contact form.

HubSpot support claims that they usually don’t have any problems embedding their HubSpot forms into a WordPress Site.

Any idea on what I am missing or doing wrong?

The text areas only accept basic HTML. If the code you are entering is complex it would be best to include it through a HTML via shortcode method.
