After making a new post, i uploaded the featured image of the size i want to be displayed on the presentation page, then i also selected that size to be the “cropped” size of the image to be displayed as a thumbnail but i cant manage to make it look like in this site: http://www.surfingtheplanet.com/

I want the image to be 407px x 270px and the text to be below the image. Ive managed to have a thumbnail of the featured image of the post which is way smaller, around 220px x 150px i want to be able to select the size of that thumbnail, the “thumbnail size” and “crop image to exact size” doesn’t seem to be working as intended, also ive noticed that depending of the “format” i choose, image, chat, video, gallery, etc the “thumbnail size” changes.

Do i need to add custom CSS to fix this? Is there any tutorial out there i can follow if that is the case?

Never mind i fixed everything with a plugin to regenerate thumbnails.

I’m having a similar problem. I can’t control the image size on the presentation page or in the category views. What plugin did you use?

Never mind. I found the following article and realized I needed to set the image as a featured image for the post.
