Formatting archive pages

    Hi everyone,

This is a newbie question but I’m hoping someone can help.

I’m trying to figure out how to change the formatting for a general archive/search results page. I’m using a child theme so I don’t mess anything up. 😉

All I want to do is make my archive pages appear as a more reader-friendly list. E.G. remove the post excerpt, make the title smaller, etc. Nothing too fancy.

How can I tell what lives where? I’ve started by looking at archive.php, which seems to lead to content.php but the text there looks like it’s specifically NOT for archives, etc. I looked at the CSS file and the various functions files, and I am lost.

If someone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. 🙂

    Thanks!
    Steph
