I am using WordPress, Blue Host and Nirvana and creating my first website. I am trying to create my primary menu using pages I have already published, but have marked as private, in WordPress. When I open the menu customizer, add items, I cannot see my published pages. How do I link them to the menu name?

The menu administration is WordPress core functionality and is not controlled by the theme. WordPress forums may give you a better answer as to how private pages work. As far as I know, private means the pages are not publicly visible.
