  1. Love the flexibility of this them! Thank you! Where can I change the meta description that posts under my title in the search engines? Currently it says…”No need to edit files or learn to program, everything you want to change is just a mouse click away with a plethora of theme settings. If you like to get your hands …”

  2. I completely screwed up my tempura editor. I was trying to change the content-video.php so that there would be no text below my listed videos, and ended up messing everything up. Does anyone know how to make the text go away? And could anyone pos the default html for the content-video.php?

    thanks!

  3. Hi,
I love Tempera, great theme. I’ve used it for 4 different websites now.
Im working on my own personal website and for some reason I cant seem to figure this out, Ive been trying all day. the height of my page is different on each browser I use, and on internet explorer it is the worst. it leaves a large blank space between the posts/cryout columns and the footer widgets. When I look at it in firebug, it says this line is responsible in the HTML

but I don’t know how to get tempera to change it or make it automatic. I tried reinstalling the wordpress application, fully updating and the problem popped up again after rebuilt although I cant figure out what I add that is causing it.

    my site is biglightsllc.com

    Thanks for your help

      1. So I figured out the cause (sort of). When removing the copyright from the homepage with the hide option, it creates the space. However, this doesn’t happen with all my tempera sites, only a few. Not sure what the difference is between them I might figure it out at some point. I have grown to like the space because I use a video background now, and it creates kind of a viewport at the bottom for the video… Again, great job with the theme!

  4. I have another question, I keep getting the following “Your current theme does not have support for the Options Framework plugin… What does this mean and do I need the Options Framework or is tempera built on a framework of its own?

Again, appreciate it! Great theme btw!

    1. Tempera was built from scratch on our own code. We do not use any pre-built frameworks.
You should look for the source of that message at the plugin itself, the theme is definitely not displaying it (and it doesn’t require any framework).

  5. Hi, I was wondering if its possible to get rid of a social media icon? I have mine on the right side of the presentation page and its showing 4 vertically but I would like to only show 3 (faceboo, twitter, email)..so right now I have two for email..and I honestly don’t need more than the mentioned. Please let me know, I really appreciate it!

  6. Hi, I tryed you theme, wonderful!
hi have 3 simple quest to solve.
1- i’d like to put search box in menu bar.
2-can I modify the hover color of menu bar buttons? ( there isn’t in colors section )
3-I put some plugin (lenguage plugin with flags) in top bar?

  7. Hello there, I am setting up a bilingual website and using qtranslate plugin. I need to set the language option buttons right above the header. There is a widget above the header that I set up the language plugin however buttons come up above the header in the middle of the page. They need to be on the right. Does anyone how to adjust this?

  8. Do you have examples somewhere here on the site that shows how a post/page looks when different “formats” are selected?

If you do, where is it, I have looked and can’t find it.

If you don’t that would be VERY Helpful if you could add those examples. Thanks!

  9. Gorgeous and responsive theme. Working on it for a church website right now, and considering using it on my personal blog too.

Question though: Does it support drop down menu? I’ve looked and haven’t found any handy setting for that in the template settings.

    1. Figured it out: Either my menus changed themselves, or I inadvertently changed them, to a single layer. Putting the layers and sub-pages back in, and all the drop-down goodness came back to life.

      Thanks for the awesome theme!

  10. How do you create a child theme. I am trying to figure out how to get my side bars and footer area to have more than one column. There is so much wasted space with only one column in this area. Any ideas???
    Thanks

  11. I want to add an additional “A blog by P. W. Barnes” heading to the far right of my custom logo. I can’t figure out how to add the html. Can I insert it using jQuery/Javascript? Or maybe there’s a way to modify the header div?

  12. Hi, in Tempera’s search.php it says that one can alter things by having a loop-search.php in the child theme. I put one in the main child theme directory, and then in a sub-directory called tempera but neither seemed to be picked up.
If I hack the code straight into your search.php it works OK.

Could you tell me where I should put loop-search.php?

    Many thanks.

    1. Yes, the theme uses
      #access ul li.current_page_item > a, #access ul li.current-menu-item > a, #access ul li.current_page_ancestor > a, #access ul li.current-menu-ancestor > a { } to cover both current item and its parent(s).

  13. Hi! I love this theme, but I seem to be having critical problems with it. It was working so nicely for about a month, then suddenly the colour changed from black to white, and my text changed colour, as well as the menu bar disappeared and just left the basic text links behind.

When I go to the tempera settings, I try to change the colours back to the original and it does not do anything. When I reset the theme to the original, it turns back to black, but then when I go back in to either add my slides, change the text colour, etc, it changes everything back to the white background and different colours.

I attempted to download your other theme Parabola and it did exactly the same thing. It started out a nice black colour, and as soon as I attempted to modify the colours of the text, or add a photo to the slide, it changed the background to white and deleted the nice menu bar design.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help!

    1. You have a poorly written plugin loading its colour selector over the theme’s settings page. This breaks the colour fields, leaving your site without colours.
Try to figure out which plugin does this and disable it.

  14. thx for great theme
    1. can we donate for this theme from indonesia?
    2. how to change the size of the slide. i try to customize the front page of the blog be smaller than the default, so it should change the slide size

    thx

  15. I really like this theme, and I would consider paying the $25 for the additional perks; however, I’ve tested it on both an Android tablet and phone, and both have issues displaying it correctly. I don’t want to move forward if these issues can’t be corrected. On the tablet, the images in the slider on the Presentation page tile multiply times instead of just showing as one large image. On the phone, the box around the slider buttons extends down infinitely across all of the content below it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
