   1. That’s a basic HTML table, which can be created using the basic editor.

   1. You need to figure out what’s breaking jQuery on your site. Looks specifically for plugins loading an older version (beside WordPress’ one).

3. Hey guys,
   Is there an easy way to migrate from Mantra theme to Parabola theme? My client loves some of the new features in Parabola but when I tried to Export the Mantra settings and Import into Parabola I got an error message saying that the file wasn’t a valid Parabola settings file. I would have thought that this would have been a popular update for Mantra fans so this should have come up before? TIA.

4. Hey, I am using the parabola 1.0.1 version. I don’t want to update because I made few changes to the theme to reflect my site. However I am unable to figure out how to modify the primary navigation bar. I want to add a functionality based on the whether someone is logged in or not.

   Basically I want the menu options to change based on the logged in user and a regular viewer. But I am unable to figure out where to make those changes.
   I don’t want to hard code the menu in header.php. I want to keep the original authors code and just add little bit to it.

   I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

5. Fewer than 3 social icons?
   I only want to show the facebook social icon.
   I am probably overlooking the obvious, but what do I need to do to only show 1 social icon ?

   1. Remove the # from the target fields for the two sample socials that come activated by default with the theme you wish to disable.

         1. Theme settings (Appearance > Parabola Settings), then click on Social Media Settings to open it up and you’ll see five URL fields, out of which three come with # filled in by default.

   Is there any way to have the visual editor be 100% across the screen? As it stands now the when I’m editing in WYSIWIG mode my content is wrapping about halfway across the screen. Thanks in advance.

   1. The theme does not control or change dashboard content and layout. What you’re asking is WordPress functionality. You can click and grab your editor’s bottom right corner to resize it.

   1. You need to use custom CSS and apply your background image on #header-full:
      #header-full { background: url(path/to/your/header/image.jpg) [positionx] [positiony] [repeat?] }

8. Hi, I have installed your awesome theme. I have functionality such that any one can post without even registering. I have allowed users to upload image for the posts. I have gone through the settings of parabola and applied to show image as post thumbnail and it is working perfect. But I want to show the image on the post page too, even if i set the featured image, it does not show up on post page. So how can i do that? Please help!

10. If I update – ou have version 1.1.2 installed. Update to 1.2.0.

    I’m guessing it will overwrite all the css changes I made to style.css and WP E-Commerce default .css?

    1. If you’ve made any changes to the files, yes, you’ll lose all that.
       Transfer everything to a child theme before updating.

11. Is there any way to format text in the pages/posts editor? I can bold it or italicize it – but can’t change colors, etc. Would be nice to have the option to apply text styles to certain areas (headers, etc.).

    1. Disregard my question – forgot to push the “kitchen sink” button (many thanks to my wife for showing me the error of my ways). 🙂

13. I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a search box to the primary navigation on the home page?

    1. Actually I mean the header section. I’ve pasted in this code:

       But when it’s actually in the header on the right top corner like I want it, the search bar is not active. Meaning it’s there, but I can’t click on it or type anything in to search.

       Ideas?

       1. What is the top navigation menu called in the parabola theme?

          But still need the menu theme location name so that it doesn’t appear in every menu I have.

14. Is there any way to
    – hide the tags in category pages
    – display them in posts?

    I was able to do it with Mantra, can’t do it with Parabola.

    1. Take a good look at parabola settings under appearance, you’ll find more than that. It’s in Graphics settings or post information for sure.

15. Hello, I’ve a problem with parabola theme. After wordpress updated to the last version available, my home page with presentations vanished and now I can’t restore it…are there other possibilities? I use wordpress only with same page and post and the home page with 4 slides…but slides are disappeared. Why?

    1. I confirm that, I have the same problem. “Presentation page” disappeared after last theme update. I tried to remove theme and reinstall it, but it still doesn’t work. Problem occurs both on WordPress 3.6.0 and 3.6.1. Of course, “Presentation Page” is “Enabled” in Parabola Settings. I can provide admin access to my site for debugging, because it’s still in unreleased stage – just contact me through e-mail.

16. Where in the color settings can I change the color of the social media icons that hover on the right? Currently it is the light grey in a white box against a grey backround.

20. My admin area does not show image links. I get the broken link image. But if I copy the image link to another tab it works. I’m not sure where to look to fix this.

    1. You’re most likely using relative URLs that are wrong when used in the dashboard (because they’re only right on the frontend)…

22. I am using parabola for a website that I would like to pitch to my company and I love everything about it except the Presentation Page Slider… Is there an easy way to add more custom slides? 24. Hey, really loving the theme, but im having issues with different browsers… In Chrome the display size looks fine, but in Firefox and IE the page looks like its zoomed in about 150%, makeing it not so beautiful 🙂 Is there a fix or am i just missing something 🙂

    1. Just type in the username, rightsaidfred. Ho other markup is required.

26. how do i let featured images shows on the Category page as thumbnails because the when i choose Category page with intro for a post , it shows all of the post on the category page , please help on how to make the post only show titles and thumbnails images only ,

27. I also put this question on the presentation page-specific forum, but no answer yet, so:
    I’ve ticked the box to enable the presentation page as my homepage but I don’t think it worked, as the slider isn’t visible, nor is any of the text I have tried to put on it :S
    It’s probably something really simple but I am quite confused.

    1. Create a custom menu – http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ – and leave it empty.

    2. Go to Parabola Settings >> presentation Page >> Extras > Hide areas
       and you will see the option to hide lots of stuff choose what you like

30. Which of the color settings control the ‘continue reading’ link on which readers click after reading an excerpt. I have gone through the entire list and cant find the right one. My box is black and the words cannot be seen.

    1. That is controlled (together with several other areas) by the “Meta Area Background” option under Graphics Settings.
