Thanks for the link. I had an extra Home entry in my menu that was a sub-item. When I removed that and put the custom link item in its place everything started working. I had never noticed I made the mistake of adding and extra Home menu item.

Sorry it took me so long to see this, for some reason I didn’t get a notification that someone had responded to my enquiry, even though I checked the box…
