Thanks again!!
Could you help me out…where can I find the aspect ratio concerned?
I have solved the “problem” in the desktop view, but still struggling with the Ipad and mobile view.
A. the slider images seem/look not responsive as only a part of the image is shown
B. The featured images on the landing page (the background images) are shown as huge blow ups.
C. When I include “pages” in the Header Titles menu, on a mobile the header picture on a page is covered by the title background (black/grey). Please see attached pics, one from the desktop view, one as a screenshot from my mobile.

Hi Zed, I’ve changed the appearance of the landing page a bit, so some of the downsides of that plugin
are no longer that important to me.

I will give it another go, THANKS!!!!

Hi Zed, sorry to say so, but no…I’m using Firefox on a desktop computer.

You are correct on the other hand…..On a mobile Safari version, it looks even a bit worse, it then zooms in on a small aspect of the pic and you cannot even recognize the picture itself.

So, my problem on the desktop is not solved yet, sorry!!

Problem with mobile Safari will be solved in the future, thanks!!!

Thanks Zed!! I had a look at the Page Excerpt plugin. It has not been updated for over 4 years, so a no go I think.
I will stick to my way of working around this issue for now, by having (unpublished) separate pages for the landing page with limited text.

Hi Zed, thanks for your reply!!
I will enclose a screenshot with explaining (hopefully…) text to make my point clear concerning the text of the home page and not being listed in the settings.

Concerning your remark about the “Blog” page; as far as I can see there is content. Do I miss something?

Thank you so much Zed!! I already found a plugin called “Easy Custom Auto Excerpt”. Is not exactly doing what I was hoping for. On top of that, it affects the lay out of the text in the slider…..text background color is gone, most of it, see attached screenshot
Do you perhaps have a suggestion for a plugin?

I was “afraid” for that 🙂
I’ve found a way to work around it (full content shown on landing page).
I have made a second page for that item/page, with only a summary of the original page and listed that one on the landing page.
It works, but a possibility to excerpt also these pages would be nice.

Nevertheless I am still very, very impressed by all the work you guys have done and gave us these lovely theme’s!!!(and even for free!!!)
