Since updating WordPress to 6.0, I am no longer able to use the Septera / Septera No Link theme customizer. I get the following error – “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” I suspect that the problem is related to Septera / WordPress 6.0 compatibility with PHP 8.1.

Will Cryout be releasing a Septera update (hopefully soon) that will resolve this problem (i.e., similar to the May 26th, 2022 update to Bravada)?

Hi,

Yes, we are working on updating all our themes that are affected by this issue, but some might take a bit longer than others because they are more out of sync with the main codebase we work on.

In the meantime, one workaround to the issue is to check and ensure that your site has no empty categories.
