We’ve the problem that we cannot customize the word count for the text inside the slider.
For the summary pages there’s an option (e.g. first words) but this doesn’t touch the slider.
The dependent problem is that the text is breaking and the text box doesn’t look well (if unclear please have a look on out site, than you’ll know what I mean).May 20th, 2014 at 14:28 #25457Walt
Stop trying to put a full page worth of content in the box and your problem will be resolved.
It’s for a few snippets of text to get you to read on, not a full article.

I mean you misunderstood me.
We don’t write any excerpts for out posts. So the slider takes the first few words from the article. I’m not able to customize how many words are displayed.May 21st, 2014 at 20:19 #25482Walt
Ahhh, okay, that makes more sense… Don’t know how to fix that, sorry 🙁

Is it possible to create a new parameter in the settings how many words should be taken from the content?

Cryout Creations mastermindThe slider excerpts will be limited to half the number of words configured for post excerpts in the next update.
If we’d add a separate option for each and every setting that could ever be configured, we’d never finish adding them…If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.
