Hi there
From last update there is no shuffle for all my pictures for website background. Before update all was working

is it possible to check? I need to change randomly website head picture from my list, but website shows only picture from last post.

same here. No shuffle side 1.0.6.
The header only shows the image of the last post.

Edit: The image shuffle is working, when you disable “use post images in header” option (customiser->post information->post image).

Same problem here.

I didnt find “use post images in header”, just “Use Featured Images in Header”. But didnt resolve problem. Image post dont show in post with “Use Featured Images in Header” disabled. And i need to show image post in header of the post.

More explanation:

When Use Featured Images in Header is on the header image is the image post. And when i publish a new post, image header is changing with image from the last post.

When Use Featured Images in Header is off, image header is used at EVERY image post header. The image header post must be inherit from that post, not from the image header.

Image header must be mantained just in the home page or category page or tags page or….
Image header post must be different, must be inherit from that post.

Pls fix!!! I really like your Theme!

here I have bunch of pics to shuffle as my main page background and from last update it’s not working

Hi,

In update 1.0.6 we added support for the (static) page’s featured image in the header on the (static) homepage and blog pages. This allows custom per-page header images in these sections as well.

If you’re only seeing the header behaviour change on these two site sections, check if the (static) pages assigned there have featured images assigned which need to be removed.

Hi Zed,

I had a picture that i was using as the header pic on all my pages, but now my home page only shows the featured pic of the last post. The rest of my pages still feature my chosen image. Please fix.

For me the following solution is working:

1. customizer -> Post information -> Featured Images -> Use Featured Images in Header -> OFF
>>> Shuffle is working again, but post featured image is not shown in post header

2. Install Plugin “Unique Headers” -> edit post and set “custom header” image (same image as featured image).
>>> now shuffle is working and your Post will have ist own header-image

The change was done to add custom header image support for the distinct blog and (static) homepage sections as well, as this was a frequently asked for feature.

@hallerandrei and everyone else having trouble, would it be possible to send us a site options / theme options export so I can do the tests with your specific configuration? You can use the customization form to be able to attach a file.

@MikaXS its working with your solution. Thanks! But what i must do now? Enter for every post and ad custom header? It’s not a solution. I have over 200 posts.
Perhaps solution will come from Zed.

@Zed Sorry for words i wrote, but maybe you offer another solution for problme u solved with this feature.

Thank you very much @hallerandrei for helping us figure this one out, and everyone else for putting up with a very well hidden creepy crawler.

For anyone interested in the details, the featured-image-in-header detection logic flaw only manifests on sites that never had a static homepage and/or a static blog page set before.

The Bravada update correcting the issue is now available. Hopefully there are no other hidden surprises.
The Plus edition will also receive the corresponding update tomorrow.
